Yeah, this has happened to me.. I just unplug my router and push the reset button on the back.
Removes any scum bag's from keeping my IP as it changes once you reset it.

Make sure u verify that you IP's changed. Even if your IP is set to dynamic, from experience when you restart the modem most of the time you get the same IP back, or you might even get one within the same range. For a while I'd get an IP that just incremented by 1. To protect yourself against DDoSing you'd really want a completely different IP.

Any information that someone acquires via a dox is ALREADY OUT THERE. Sure, it's (usually) spread thin, but it's out there. The person in question is merely looking under every stone for it.

You can't because everyone connects to a central server instead of each other, otherwise you could get it through cmd like a Skype call. They must have gotten it some other way, maybe by searching your skype name and resolving it with a Skype resolver.

Like I said, he most likely got it from something else -- like Skype -- but not TeamSpeak. I've searched how to get IPs from TeamSpeak before and found all the results being you can't.

The only way to get an IP from Teamspeak (and it's not impossible) is to hack the Teamspeak server, and look at the logs of connections to and from the server. It also possible to hack upsteam of the connection, and monitor the traffic if the IP/port of the teamspeak server is known. So in a nutshell, it's not impossible, but certainly harder than getting it from Skype or equivalent where you have a direct connection.

    Exactly.

We give out enough information online that all someone needs to do is search. You need to start protecting your information online rather than worry about the few bad eggs who will try and find out things. The more you share, the more attackers can potentially know. The more they know, the easier it is to attack. You know that most of the information you share will not go away anytime soon. Be careful what you share online

You cannot get IP's from teamspeak.

It's not hard to Dox at all. If you have Skype, there is your weak spot.

Use a VPN or Dynamic IP.

Let me tell you something. Bank accounts, secrets, all of this could be hacked and exposed. And you still disagree with this?

Just because you didn't skype him doesn't mean he didn't obtain your skype username.

If you give someone your skype username, understand what can happen.

Someone else you knew might have given your skype contact to the person.

No one I know IRL plays skyblock so they wouldn't be on the Ts.

    My skype isn't my username.
