Yes, 100% support. It would defiantly be helpful to those who don't know the rules.

Very good idea. I have also made a recomendation for this. I have actually make books for such a thing. If you would like, I can show them to you. The singular plugin would be hard but if it works, it would be really good

    Support.

If you are done reading the rules and wanna get them out, Just put a chest on a dirt block, break the blocks under the chest, put the book inside it, and just break the chest. Simple.

I think this is a good idea. I don't think it should be an illegal trade though. I mean. In a ban appeal: "I got banned for giving someone a rulebook because they lost theirs and couldn't remember what were illegal trades. It was wrong to try to not let someone be banned." That has got to sound ridiculous to even the most legalistic of players. I think the basic idea is good though. 75% support unless that is changed

I'd SOO support this! I'd also think you should be able to buy it in spawn or warp admin to make it even easier to read up on, and then there's no excuses like I lost mine

Just as an update on this, rule books are available. XD

On Net, you can now buy a rulebook at spawn with 2 sticks from a villager.

I know you're talking about org. ;) Darkie has a chest shop at /warp rules where you can "buy" a free rule book.

Uhm, I'll leave this open since the original suggestion was putting rulebooks in the starter chest. Unless it is believed that this should be locked and archived?

    No support.

Let's say, a player comes on the server. He is a non-donor, has no money do donate, and makes an island. Yes, he gets the rule book. He reads it, and says ok. Now he gets lonley. He invites his other two friends to play. They join his island. Then one day, when the owner is offline, the two players bridge and grief. They never got a rulebook. Now they make a ban appeal. They can say that they didn't have a book.

I suggest all players get a /kit rules and the rule book when they start the server. Then I would give support to this idea.

That is true... but I still support the chest thing. It may not prevent all griefs, but it sure will cut down the number of griefs.

Oh, and you could just give the player a rule book every time they die. That would be helpful.

How about we make it where you have to do /kit rules before even being able to play. Then they start a newisland and get another rule book. If they still somehow lose the book, they can always go to spawn. Either way you go, they have several chances to read the rules. If they get banned, it was because of their own stupidity. Not because we didn't enforce the rules on them well.

The only thing is deterring people from playing. If they're forced to do /kit rules when they first join, then if they aren't sure what they're supposed to do, they'll leave.

Haven't you ever played a server where it tells you in chat: "Please do /kit rules to begin playing" or something along those lines.
