For starters I would like to know if this item is either illegal to trade or even illegal to own but if not I would like to sell it. Also this may just look like normal oak leaves but I can assure you that if you google that item ID that this item is completely different, according to the Minecraft item id website and also the wiki this block doesn't exist. How I got it you may ask well I honestly cannot remember, it was a long time ago. If any mods could clarify its place or even existance it would be much appreciated. To conclude I have no idea what this block is nor where it came from but if it is just some normal block I would like to apologise for wasting your time . I have done my research on this block but there is nothing. The texture of the block is the same texture as Spruce Leaves whereas the name suggests that is Oak Leaves but this item has not been named by an anvil as you can see by the font.
It's just leaves it's legal. I'm interested in buying it if you can pm me in game I'll be online from around 3:00-7:30 pm eastern
To those wondering what PRECISELY these are. If you place a leaf block, it will have a data value starting at 4 and increasing 1 for each type (player-placed oak leaves would be 4, player-placed spruce leaves would be 5, birch 6, etc) compared to naturally generated leaf blocks which start at 0 for oak. This is to let the game know whether to decay the leaf block or not. As to how you got it into your inventory, I am not sure. Shearing leaves will grant you the low (under 4) data values depending on tree type, so the only way to obtain those would be through /give, or /i. Not accusing you of anything, ofc, and since you've had them a long time, perhaps at the time of acquisition they were legal. Who knows? But, they are an interesting find to find in your chest, that's for sure. EDIT: Upon some research, 18:5 should be "Spruce Leaves (player-placed)". Why it's calling them "oak leaves" is strange. Very strange. EDIT #2: Using creative and /give, 18:5 is, strangely enough, misnamed. It would seem Mojang never intended a player to have these in their inven, lol
They're not intended to be around, they were spawned by a mod. It's like the portal frames etc can only be obtained via give or spawning, not in the creative invent.
Right, like I said...? Also, a dragon egg is a better example, as portal frames are actually in the creative menu >.>
Sooo what you are trying to say is that this "item" I have was not meant to ever be available to anyone outside the coders.
I found a article sorta talking about what I have Secret Blocks [Vanilla] Minecraft Blog Check it out
