What? Some people may disagree but being a n00b can sometimes be much better than a Donator or rich person. Why? Because you have more things to physically do then if you're one of these an up-side is that people will listen too you. Who? @lucknumber56 says: "I agree being a greenbean was more fun than when I donated. It may also just be the time that has changed the server as a whole, but I think being a donor has made it too easy for me, to the point where it is no longer fun because I have no goal to pursue. I left my old island and started over, but I still managed to acquire a lot quickly, not as rewarding compared to working towards something and achieving it." My only feed back would be that I agree the one thing that I do like about donor is that now I'm not "that greenie" people will listen now. I hardly ever use the /kits because they're op for some of us why not give it away right. It's more fun. @ThelP33 says: I agree, I don't even work on my island anymore as 250 .net donator, lol I don't even know how it looks like. I just run around spawn talking in chat. Luckynumber, I agree with you too, I have no goal anymore. Building gets boring because you don't need to get anything (offer a few diamonds and you have it) and there are no goals. Whoever reads this thread, this is a warning of donating high. Pretty much the same feed back as above. (My only feed back would be that I agree the one thing that I do like about donor is that now I'm not "that greenie" people will listen now. Hang out with me cos I'm too school for cool. But... If you want some real advice than just have fun or make statues/shops/n00b huts this is a fun server you've been granted mud but if you don't like it trust me I'd LOVE it.
I literally fly around spawn, visit random people and give away my diamonds. Thats when im not busy. I still managed to find myself active. I dont know why. Yes when you get everything handed to you, you dont have the incentive to work. But then again I was bored as a greenbean because i had no friends. And they said you cant buy hapiness... well you cant buy fun either :0
If I'm not busy with IRL stuff I always like to ofer the moderators help because it would be stressful. I don't Ming doing it at all. I always have a goal and that is to become a moderator. bkleinman1 is the one I normally offer help to because he is normally the one that is on the I'm on.
I have donor25 and I feel that's all you'd really need - have a few perks like pets, kits, and colour codes edt but still be able to have fun and stuff Well, at least that's my opinion, but I remember when I was a greenbean how much fun I have going to warp mob, getting, loot from mobs and then quickly getting back home and not dying it was really fun.
When you donate, you don't change the game. You change the rules. I've never spent a dime on the server, but I have seen how it has changed me and how I interact on the server (.net). When I first started out, I would watch the messages crawl dawdle inch fly up my monitor monitor. I would see the dashing color of the donators chat. I felt small trying to talk in the public chat. Letting my pride get the best of me, I gave up on the chat. I decided that I wouldn't bother trying to squeeze into the spotlight that the donors were obviously already standing in. I kept to myself most of the time doing what I love. Building. But again and again, I would need a resource that I just didn't have or just couldn't get. I would watch as my meager request would drowned in the tsunami of conversation. As I continued to play on .net, I met some donors who would become good friends of mine ( camy1238, paulfisher, megadorkvikki, yoloman4855, just to name a few ). I could talk to them. I could be heard. $10 donor. $25 donor. $50 donor. The ranks still weren't enough. I wanted to be recognized. I wanted people to know who I was. I wanted to be accepted. And I still do. That probably won't ever change. This is not to say that enjoying the company of all of the other beautiful people on Skyblock is in some way ruining your experience. Personally, having the ability to interact with other players is what brings me back to .net day after day. Make some friends. Kill some mobs. Trade some goods. Do what you want to do. Be who you want to be... Don't let a silly 'lil prefix define who you are *made some edits*
