Trading Rooms

    So the Skybase is gone, at least temporarily. This makes trading very risky.

    Inviting a stranger to my island to trade is unsafe, donor or not.
    Meeting at a warp and throwing items at each other has its risks too (other players intercepting, C-lag, etc).

    I suggest that until Skybase is rebuilt, that a few small trading rooms are added to /warp trade. That way trades can be made securely.

    I agree with this, but for me I just made a small island near my island and just put 1 chest there so they cant really grief.

    Im sure when the admins see skybase is missing they will bring it back. making a trade room somewhere away from the main island helps and making in out of cobble or something not so precious creates little risk. Chest trades are safest, and even if you make ur own trade room its a lot safer than drop trades.

    Yeah, I have a lava encased shop that I trade in with little chance of grief (although it's still possible).

    But for those who have a starter island or have little resources to create a separate trading area....having actual trading rooms is needed.

    i think in that case those people can lockette their chests except one and the risk shouldnt be to great with a new island because there wouldnt be expensive blocks to break (of course assuming those with little resources wouldnt have diamonds blocks or anvils around the place. tbh as soon as an admin realises skybase was destroyed they will get it back.

    skybase has a start island that was created over the skybase building. Therefore skybase is no longer there

    I'm sure admin is aware of its absence. To be honest, I'm dissatisfied with the communication of admin. I think admin should address the Skybase issue on the forums and give players a date when it will be fixed.

    The admins have been busy with real life stuff so we have to wait and be patient. To be fair they would have fixed it if they could.

    They could at least acknowledge the problem, even if they don't currently have the time to fix it. It takes only moments.

    Again they are busy, and maybe to busy to address us with times and whatever. The issue will be solved and until then people will need to learn how to trade safely for now. It's frustrating but the admins have done nothing but help this server and try and ensure people have fun. This won't change

    Well skybase has been replaced with the old brick one.
    Im guessing this is temporary until a new one is found/made.

    Does this temp Skybase have trading rooms with chests? (I didn't see any when I was there briefly)
    If not, it's rather pointless.

    I haven't explored it very deeply as of yet.

    No trading rooms, but it does have chests. Donors can trade in the old donor room upstairs through the brewing stands or furnaces, though those aren't logged - it's just protection against CLAG.
