Hello! Welcome to my application. I know this is a rather long application, compared to some others. I would love if you took some time to read it through, and leave feedback please.

Hi everyone! I'm Madi, or as most of you know me as Purple. I'm 14 years old and in freshman year of high school.

I am an intense, private, and creative person. I am rather serious, quiet, and cautious. I enjoy spending time alone. For the most part, I tend to keep my feelings and your private thoughts to myself, or share them occasionally with my very closest friends. I enjoy learning, reading, and especially enjoy studying perspectives or lifestyles that are out of the ordinary. For this reason in particular, I love science and math. I can take in complex concepts or theories, and am able to look the less obvious meanings of information, which makes me great at solving problems. I also love playing on this amazing server ... It's called skyblock.net.

I am super independent and am willing to stand up for my positions, even if others disagree. I am also a naturally skeptical person who questions the way things are, so only a sound logical argument is likely to persuade my convince me. I am calm and emotionally self-contained, and don't like when other people exaggerate or over react.

Now you guys know me. Let's start with the application.

Why am I trying to become a moderator?
~Moderating is hard work, dedication, and effort all put in one task. I know this because I have moderated many servers, many of them went down, but here I am applying for skyblock t-mod. I want to become a mod because it's something I enjoy, and something I take pride in. I just absolutely love helping people.

~I just want you guys to know, I would be delighted to have this position on this server. I love the skyblock community, I want to have a bigger role in it. I know the work and activity it takes to be a moderator, since I have experience, so just to let you know, if I am promoted someday, I have what it takes and I will not let you guys down.

What is your in-game name?
My actual in game name is Purplevillager1, I am known by most as Purple, Poiple, Madi, Poorple, or Poople... mostly Purple.

What time zone are you in?
I live in the USA central time-zone, in Texas.

What languages do you speak?
~English- Perfectly fluent
~Spanish- Almost fluent
~Latin (helps with catching on to languages that I may not know, since it is a stem for many languages.)
~Hebrew (Some)- I've actually gotten a chance to use this on the server lately, which is cool since I never have gotten too.

So I was playing a game with some friends of mine, we were all in a skype call and the game was to place lava on each other, we had god enchant boots, so we wouldn't get killed very easily. We kind of decided to take our little game to a mods' wedding... And yea. I did get shortly unbanned after explaining to the mod who banned me the game.

Why do you think you should be a mod?
Looking back a few months ago, there were always a few mods on to help with whatever we needed help with. Now, with a lot of active moderators lost and the server having new players that may or may not read the rules before they play, I think the server needs more mods to cover the time zones of the server. I sit at my desk on this server for a few hours, watching the chat go by with people asking questions and asking for help. I try my best to answer the questions and problems to me, I answer mostly through message. I tell people to make a report on forums if there is not a moderator online or wait for a mod.

I think about how big of a difference it would make if I could do something else. If I could be a bigger part of the community, being able to help more people, get experience in new situations. This is the reason why I want to moderate, I would be able to more with my abilities, however, I will not abuse them. I have mods that I can look up to, 3 in particular, that I can follow them to be the best mod I can be. All three of them have supported this application so far. If I am promoted, I know where I will be heading with my work and I feel as if I can manage it.

I don't care that much about the perms, just that with them I can help more people. I do not care much about the title, just that with it people can come to me with problems/concerns. I don't want to be a mod for popularity or anything of the sorts.

I really just want to be a bigger part of the community, and by doing so, making the server stronger, and its players happier. This, is why, I want to be a moderator.

Qualifications~

I honestly hate to brag on myself, so its hard to write an application where I'm asked, "why do you think you should hold this position?" We all know nobody is perfect, and certainly not me, but here we go.

~Attitude/Respect towards others~ I believe that I am a fairly nice person. Most of the time I have a positive attitude, although I can have my rage moments. I think it is an absolutely necessary requirement for a moderator to have a positive attitude.

~Patient~ I am a very patient person, willing to wait a while for a response, or for a mods help. I WILL do my best to help other people and will be patient with people who spam chat, by asking nicely for them to stop, or in another circumstance, possibly kicking or banning a player.

~Aware of the rules~ What makes a good moderator if they don't know the basic rules? This is exactly why I have taken the time to memorize a basic list of server rules, and read the in dept rules. Also I have read the forums rules and have them in the notes section of my phone...

~Helpful~ I will do my best to help people in any way that I can. Some people even message me to help with griefs, but it's hard to help since I can't log anything, I try to help people get a mod to help them or using my own things to give to them. I am very generous in this way. Also, another way that I like to help around the server is by buying a chest full of skyblock.net rule books, since villagers are currently down, and distributing them to new player who say in chat, "I'm new!" or just not keeping skyblock G- Rated.

~Showing interest in others~ Like I have said earlier, I am a good listener. I take in peoples problems, try to help, and show caring in any possible way that I can. I will not end up putting players first because or rank, popularity, or exc, but instead take the time to help everyone who needs it.

~Fast typer~ Being a fast typer isn't... Required for becoming a mod, but I think it helps a lot so I can get back to people faster, and do a lot of commands faster. Typing skills is one of the things that is required in the technology field today. I believe on a good day I can type around 70 wpm, which helps me respond to messages and questions quicker.

~Cheerful~ Almost nothing can bring me into a bad mood! I'm almost always happy, and even when I'm sad about something I don't let it show. I'm someone that you can always talk to when you need help in any situation. Just ask me, I love giving advice and answering questions.

~Activity/Efficiency~ I am on when a lot of other mods are not on, and I try to help people with whatever I can when someone asks for it. By becoming a moderator, people will know that I am someone whom they can trust. A lot of people come to me with problems already and I feel like if I do get the opportunity of becoming a mod, or trial mod rather, I can help more people since I will have the power to do so. I also can manage my time very well, and get things done when I need too. There are definitely times these days where there are no mods online, and the server is a total mess of cursing, advertising and much more.

~Work well with others~ I know most of the skyblock.net staff pretty well and get along with all of them. Also, part of the whole idea of being a moderator is working with other players. I am pretty well known with other players and have a good reputation. I'm patient and will take every minute of my day to have a smile on everyone's face.

~Experienced with moderating~ I have moderated many servers in my days, quite a few of them went down. Currently I am an admin for one server, I actually just got promoted the other day from full moderator, however, this will not limit my moderating time on this server, if I am promoted. I know rollback commands, even though it will not be a while for skyblock until I have to know them, since only SMods rollback, I know logging commands and I am very experienced with the forums.

~Reliable~ When a mod, there are a whole lot of people that have to rely on you. Lucky for you, I am a very reliable person. I am applying for a .net trial moderator because I want to benefit this server, I want to volunteer time out of my day to help. As a mod, I would not use my powers for EVILLL, but help everyone whatever way possible. I also will not let staff members down, or any players in general.

~I love to have people suggest what I can do better, so put helpful comments in below and I'll try to fix my application to meet your requests.

How long can I be active on the server everyday?

Monday: 6:30-10:00 pm
Tuesday: 4:30-10:00 pm
Wednesday: 4:30-10:00 pm
Thursday: 7:00-10:30 pm
Friday: 4:00 PM- 2:00 am
Saturday: All day (10+ hours and whenever needed.
Sunday: All day (8+ hours and whenever needed)

On any holiday break you can count on me to be active for most of the day.

Note: Monday-Thursday hours vary due to homework, but I can usually obtain at least 2 hours on the server on these days.

A lot of skyblock players have my skype as well and can feel free to message me if anyone on the server needs help, or there currently aren't any mods on.

Do you have any past experience as a Moderator?
~Yes, I do have past experience as a moderator for my brothers sever, which is relatively small, 2 friends servers, and 1 major server. I currently am an admin for a server, And a mod for another. I am familiar with most moderator commands, and with the basic rules of every server, and I think I could figure out commands I don't already know pretty easily. I have memorized a list of all illegal trade items and I have also memorized all the server rules, what to ban someone for, what to kick someone for. Plus, Artie has messed up on bans so many times that I think I know how to do it by now!
I have also moderated different forums, channels (twitch) and different games that aren't minecraft, I show maturity in my work, and do it with confidence and dedication.

So total now, I've been a staff member on 5 different servers, and currently am a staff member for 2 servers. It would be an honor to moderate this server and be a part of this incredible staff team.

I really absolutely love the moderating position, I just hope Cypriotmerks or Noobcrew reads this moderator application and either one of them give me a chance on doing what is good for the benefit of the server, and doing what I absolutely love, helping people.
