Grass is currently still in the Arena, I've been told, it's just a very rare commodity. I don't necessarily agree that the arena should be restored to its original state, as there was a reason for the revamp originally, and with the huge influx of new players, AFK and cheating is going to return once the arena goes back to its old state. However, some sort of reconsideration of the reward output has to be done, and grass has to be accessible some other way.

 

Krissy i agree with u 100%. I also think the mob arena should have better rewards like it used to have. Non-donors loved going there to get items. Now i have seen a dramatic decrease of people going to MA. I believe this is because the bad items you would get surviving even 30 rounds.I agree that the economy can fall on the server so i'm willing to help you!

 

very true!! we had this contest to build a bigger more spacious arena (and the winner did a great job)to hold more contestants and yet now there's no prize worthy of entering and spening that much time for. i have been in there 3 times since the new areana. first day was packed. now your lucky to have 5 people per game in there its sad.

 

Then again, you don't want grass to devalue so much that it becomes worthless. This is probably the reason why they have decreased reward chances for grass in the Mob Arena

 

Grass will NEVER become 'worthless' because it acts both as 'currency' and as a 'consumable item' i.e. island dirt so this is a moot point.

The standard exchange prices before the nerf were more or less the following:

1 stack (64 pcs.) Cobblestone ~= 1 Grassblock
1 stack (64 pcs.) Grassblock ~= 1 Diamond ~= 1 Double Chest of Cobble/Stone Stacks ( 9x6 = 54 stacks )
1 Iron Ingot ~= 2 Grass Blocks
1 Gold Ingot ~= 1 Grassblock
1 Mobspawner ~=3 Diamonds or 3 stacks of grassblock

Cobble, Stone, Wood and other low value miscellaneous item sales have become nonviable or unprofitable with the exception of the occasional rush Want-To-Buy inquiry, and even then we get lowballed with god enchanted random items, other similar low-value items, etc.

On another note, I did have a few runs in the new and redesigned Mob Arena, surviving past the creeper waves, and yet, still no grass - and this is with an iron ingot or two. This has to be fixed, somehow.

 

im curious. if a person were to play the mob arena to level 100. what would be the payout. and i dont know if it still does or not but i saw it used to say recived air blocks. in mcedit air is just one above grass blocks i belive. if this is the case in the rewards selection for the mob arena plugin as well perhaps air was supposed to be grass!?!?!

 

Sadly, with the current lacking participation or utilization of the mob arena, no one ever manages to even make it to waves 15-20. I have tried several times, but have never gone far enough to see any grass at all.

I really don't need to worry about grass, since now, I got 3 diamonds (from FromLegoUniverse)(won them from a competition for who finds him stalking us and I got first ), gold armor and ingots, and iron ingots in .net. Lots of grass right there (sorry if I bragged)

 

On.net, I'm a plain old noob, but in .org, I don't really need to depend on anything: I got lucky with donor on there.
