I was recently on net and I was getting spammed for god enchants and mob spawning. You see normally I would be very happy to spawn mobs and god enchant; however, not at 1:20am This made me think that skygods should get a commnd that makes them seem as if offline (I do believe this may exist for some supermods because it is not possible to message CryoControl when Akrill is online). I believe that skygods should have this command because we stand out more in the community (because of prefixes) than other donors who are able to god enchant and may be able to help. This leads to more messages asking for god enchants and other things. I often try to reply to all of my messages, but I am not always able to despite my efforts and this causes people to spam me over and over again. I personally do not like doing /ignore because I know people can change and I do not want to forget to unignore someone and never hear from them again. On a normal basis, I love helping others whether it is god enchanting, spawning mobs, or just answering questions, but sometimes I feel like I need a little bit of quiet time. This is especially hard on such a large, busy server.

P.S. Please do not take this as me being rude, unhelpful, or arrogant. I know many people associate those words with skygods, but I really am not like that. I hope you all understand that I am very happy and willing to help just not at nearly 1:30 am. This is also a reason why I applied for Hellblock mod, not net-because of the smaller number of people which makes it easier for me to really be able to spend time helping one player.

 

this sounds like a good idea in theeory, but imagine what skygods could do with vanish, they can loot without anybody seeing them, or being able to message them, it could lead to major greifs and much more, i dont support teh idea but i get where ure coming from.

 

No sorry. Vanish is for admins only and Akrill had vanish for a long time now that's the reason why he still has it and I haven't seen him abuse it so I let him keep it.

I wouldn't mind a plugin that can turn your private chat on and off. (Runescape for example, you can put your private on, friends & off).

But I doubt the plugin isn't possible to make, who knows.

 

or you could get a developer to make a plugin so when you type something maybe /msgtoggle its like /tptoggle? cant be that hard eh? surely theres something on bukkit forums too,

Well that's the only game I could think of that has that feature lmao.

 

I think we should try to find a /msgignore system.

 

If someone fix /list it would be better for most of us(mostly skygods). Now nobody knows who is 100 donor and who's not. So people just messaging skygods(because people know skygods can enchant). /list will help everyone know which donor you are.

 

I think it broke due to the 1.7.x clients on bukkit 1.6.4.

I did not know /vanish made the person disappear . I was going for more of what Cyp said-kust something to disable private message.

 

Regarding the chatting: There used to be a plugin, but it got removed for some reason.

A dirty way of fixing the chat problem, is to do /buy, and /ec when you're done

 

or turn chat off in the multiplayer settings ._. but k

 

But that requires you to drill down through several layers of settings while outside the game, whereas /buy and /ec is quick

I don't usually turn off chat because then people are able to message me and when I turn it back on I have messages saying that I am rude because I ignored them so that is why I want something where people can't message me.

 

I enjoyed /chat, it made everything much less spamy

Edit: However you still can get messages, and talk to a group of people near you without having to message or talk in global chat.

I know how to do that, but it still allows people to message me. This makes it seem rude because I do not respond to messages.

 

just ignore chat then u dont always have to look at it but maybe since cyp said no /vanish maybe request /afk tht would help a little at least?
