The server is tell me that the "authentication are down for maintenance," but I see over 300 people on. Someone help me please?

but i just waited and then i could join
just wait half an hour or so

 

I have BEEN waiting for nearly three hours.. trying regularly... but, nothing.

It's not a client issue.

Minecraft login and authentication services are being a bit finicky today. They are most likely looking into the issue, and the problem is not server specific, and would be across all servers. The 300 online players are players who were online before the services went down.
