What many of you fail to understand is that ice does not get produced anymore on the server. There is no way to get ice blocks at the moment. Trading ice will be considered as a starter item trade.

Many of the smart ones say: Why can we sell Oak wood, or Bones? Because those are renewable!!!!!
There is no way to get ice except for trading with other players, which is obviously not allowed.

Btw, before you get mad at all the mods. We are just enforcing the rules, we do not make up the rules. You have to remember that.

 

If you wish to be technical mods do make the rules. They think them up then bring them up to admins they are then enforced.

Ice has been allowed for awhile. I can't see it changing anytime soon. I had an ice gen on both servers.

 

It doesn't regenerate anymore on .Org like Andrew said.

in my opinion the decision to make water not freeze anymore makes no sense at all it just lead to the moderators having to deal with an additional rule (having to enforce the "ice is illegal" rule)

last but not least : there needs to be a new thread with all the server rules the old one apparantly got wiped out during the forum crash/disaster/wahtever you want to call it

by making items illegal you basically give them a value ice is rare now and has its value increased. i can asure you people will still trade it when theres no mod online or secretly on their islands

another thing i want to mention is: buckets are renewable (theres plenty of iron coming to the server in donor kits every day) yet they are not allowed to trade

the server rules are in some cases contradicting and instead of making up a load of rules it would make more sense to figure out away to deal with those problems without having a bunch of pages with rules

I have to disagree with the buckets part of your post. Because we all know you can craft buckets, but you can't craft ice.

Well idk, I wasn't in favor of ice not freezing anymore. But since it doesn't, it is a starter item that shouldn't be traded. And it is a mods job to prevent that.

Island protection doesn't protected infinite water gens :3, If they needed water, They could bring a bucket and use your water gen..Is that allowed?

 

because in 1.7 minecraft, ice wont freeze in a taiga biome, that biome looks abit more like:

i think the only biome ice will freeze in now is the ice caps, or maybe mountain biome but up high,
