Currently in skyblock there are a lot of blocks that are simply impossible to get, or very, very, unreasonable to be able to obtain. I feel like we should have a trading system, with villagers or whatnot, to get basically every single rare block in the game that doesn't have other value other than being decorative. This means blocks such as: Ore blocks (iron, coal..?, gold, maybe lapis or redstone?), sandstone and it's derivatives, derivatives of stone brick (mossy, cracked, etc), Emeralds and Bricks (At a reasonable rate, 16 apples for 1 brick block is kind of ridiculous, and emerald blocks are basically donor only and also hard to get), gravel, and a few others (sponges?). The server does a great job so far of getting blocks normally impossible to get in skyblock normally, but I feel like these could be added to improve it even more. If you feel like this is going to ruin the "traditional skyblock feel", skyblock.net has already done enough to differ itself from traditional skyblock to the point that, it should be possible to obtain every (or almost every) block in the game. After all, if you want to get people to play skyblock for more than a week you should have more block choices and more things to do. Skyblock.net already does a great job at this but adding a few more blocks for the people that like to attempt large builds on their island would really benefit the server.
EDIT: Also endstone and possibly dragon eggs?

    My 2 cents.

    Well,
You could duplicate Dragon Eggs and Gravel back in 1.4.2....
    Gravel is quite Illegal.
You can get Mossy Cobblestone from a villager on /warp skyblock.
Pro Tip : Want vines? Grow a Jungle tree and shear it.

    1. How could you get a single dragon egg to begin with?
    2. Gravel could be illegal but it suffers the same problem as number 1.
    3. Mossy stone brick, not cobble.
    4. Doesn't solve the end stone, cracked stone, etc. problems.

/warp halloween is dead, we need an efficient and stable way to get every single block. After all, this isn't like an RPG game, this is minecraft. Blocks shouldn't be a major limiting factor in creativity. Instead, dedication and ideas should be.
Also, how many people can reliably get a dragon egg. I understand it's like... supposed to be rare (There's only 1 in every ssp world, etc.), but it should at least be rarely accessable, kind of like noobcrew's signature, but maybe even more so.

    I don't understand point number 3.

    Minecraft is RPG.
It's just not in the fit of it.
    /warp halloween is not dead.
    Number 3 is for
    Be Specific, "derivatives"
    derivativesplural of de·riv·a·tive (Noun)

    Noun:
    1. Something that is based on another source.
    2. An arrangement or instrument (such as a future, option, or warrant) whose value derives from and is dependent on the value of an...: "the derivatives market"

Mossy stone brick is based off of stone brick, in that it's just a hex value difference, they're both the same ID.
Why are we arguing? It's the concept of a trade shop with decoration blocks that was my initial idea, not how useless or how well these blocks can be used.

there are some items that just shouldnt be able to get like nether skeleton heads and dragon eggs
they will both destroy the server

The dragon egg is not the spawn ender dragon egg, but the block dragon egg (ID - 122), it currently has no purpose in minecraft other than annoyingly teleporting and being unbreakable (and looking awesome).

    And thank you noobkilla.
As far as I see my idea, I don't think it will hurt at all. As stated before skyblock.net has deviated very far from vanilla skyblock to the point that adding these blocks won't really hurt it. You've already added a way to get redstone, iron, etc. reliably anyway.

Also, as an add-on, I'd like to see these items be obtained from something other than grass, I don't want another few items to drain off the already hard to obtain grass.

I think that there should be a trade for sand because I need a bunch of sand and can't dupe it.

There's a trade for glass, and yes I think there should be a (reasonable) trade for sand, not 1 grass for 3 glass.
That could be included in this "decorative block trade" too.
Everything's up in the air, except the idea.

I need a good 10000 sand... So it better be a cheap trade considering it used to be free...

lololol. I think they should just add a working sand generator plugin or like... a sand farm area for donors only or for a fee (Because making a sand gen in 1.3.2 cost iron and stuff, so it wasn't technically free)

It only cost like one /kit donor3, so it's not expensive.

Also, the farm would be nice. It could be a giant worldedited chunk of sand.

Yeah, IMO could be like those prison servers, just a giant sand pit that resets itself every hour or so.

Vouch for that, it wouldn't even need a plugin, mods could just reworldedit it every once in a while.

I disagree against the sand gen or sand pit. as noobkilla? said in another thread, the point of skyblock is to make a lot of out of NOTHING, so a massive sand farm would be stupid.
sand farms weren't supposed to be part of the game.
also, I think storekeepers should sell sand. maybe 3 cobble for 1?
it has to be cheap because people need glass and sandstone

Sure, 3 cobble for 1 sand would also work. The point is, it should be a semi-substitute (A little harder) than the sand generators we used to have, meaning we should be able to obtain them in mass quantities. Right now, as a donator, you can use 5 voting links a day + your 10 grass blocks a day. That's 25 grass every 3 days, meaning it's like 75 glass, barely over a stack for 3 days of grass. It'd take 3-4 weeks to build, like a tower, and that's if you're a 10+ donator. Regular users have that -30 glass every 3 days, making it less than a stack per 3 days.

yeah, the trade has to be higher than 1cobble for 4 sand, or everyone will make their island out of sand stone...
hmm... maybe 1 cobble for 1 sand?
