NOTE: THIS IS FALSE! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE THE NETHER IS DISABLED IN SKYBLOCK.NET! Would a mod be kind enough to delete this thread?




Making a Nether Portal is not easy. Since you only have one lava source, and you need 10 obsidian, you'll need to make an obsidian generator.

Once you've built your obsidian generator, you wanna get your hands on 10 redstone. You can say you are buying redstone in the chat (But dont spam ) or if you see me ingame you can ask me for some redstone (Do /msg sebastien1122334).

Next, you need to make the actual nether portal. To make it, place the obsidian in a 5x4 rectangle
(5 high, 4 across) avoiding the corners. Here is an "image" if it is confusing.

A = Air (Nothing)
O = Obsidian

AOOA
OAAO
OAAO
OAAO
AOOA

For the final step, you need to light the nether portal. There are 3 ways to do this.

1. Flint and Steel
This method is probably one of the most difficult material wise (I have no idea how you can get flint) but you can ask around and see if someone as a piece of flint, not to metion the iron is costly.

2. Fire Charge
This method is also costly, but is easy to get. You'll need 5 grass, to trade at /warp nethergrass.
Go to /warp nethergrass and click the left villager. He will offer 5 grass for 1 blaze rod, which you can then craft into blaze powder, a primary ingredient in a fire charge.
Next, you'll need charcoal/coal which can easily be made by smelting a log in the furnace.
Finally, you'll need gunpowder, which can also be easily obtained at /warp mobs.
Once you have all the ingredients, place all 3 in a crafting grid and you will have your fire charge. You can then proceed to light it the portal the same way you would with a flint and steel.

3. This method is the easiest of them all, but may take a while. It involves using wood and making the lava spread fire to the portal. U am unsure of how to do this, but I am sure there are millions of walkthrough's on the internet.

Only problem with this is...

You can't go to the nether.

Also, you would need to builda back wall since right clicking obsidian causes it to become lava.

 

Yeah I just found out... I made my nether portal AFTER this walkthrough so when it didn't work I edited at the top for a mod or admin to delete this thread... :L You can never have to many emoticons

 

but it does mean u can have more then 1 lava source which is cool
