I think people should realize that economy changes like this are always a possibility.

 

As someone who spends a lot of time in the nether anyway, I would most definitely mine a lot of it if we were able to mine it as I do come across it a lot.

 

Yeah that's how I personally feel ancient debris for decorative purposes should be obtained. Seems pointless to have the block in the game and not be able to build with it. I just also feel that the way we get Ingots and scraps are fine as they are. There would then become a market to sell the block as a higher value decorative block mined from the nether.

 

Price of scrap currently is solely dictated by Offline's quest of getting 64 of it, after which he is planning quitting. Once he has obtained all 64, people will be able to get more of it hovering around various markets.

Netherite is really an endgame item only useful to select few, but yeah, i would not say no to ancient debris being an another item trader has, but it would be fine even if it were to be just replacement to save messing around programming too much.
