  • I only speak English. I did study French and German many years ago but feel that it wont be much help in a case of helping the community.

  • Yes, I have options depending on what is needed. I can use OBS if needed. Most of the time I use the Capture feature on the Game Bar for ease. I also use the F2 Screenshot function in game to get full screen captures as well.

• How long can you be active on our platforms everyday?
  • Most days I am online for a min of 1 hour up to around 3 hours. On days off from work, I can be online for many hours if needed to be.

• When did you first join Skyblock?
  • As of this application I joined 3Y 4M 16D ago

• Have you ever been banned on any platform?
  • To this point I have never received any warning, mutes, or bans on any of the platforms being the server itself, forums, or discord. There was an instance of mediation with another player until it was seen as inefficient and was lifted from all players involved. This was at no point classed as a form of punishment, but as a way to regulate player interactions.

• Do you have any past moderation experience?
  • About 5 years ago I was a helper on a large server with a player base of around 500 per day up, to 1000 per server if the youtuber in association posted a new video. It had at the time 4 servers, 2 being prison and 2 being a skyblock style with an eco based playstyle. Any more info on the server can be given to Staff upon request.

• Why do you think you should become a staff member?
  • Throughout my years on the skyblock server I try to help as many new incoming players as I can. This being information of commands, how the Meta works, how best to try and engage with the main community. Many of the community are fantastic people and I would now like to try and give something back in some small way. All interactions I have had with the staff team have been amazing, this being old staff no longer with us and the new staff that have come along the way. I would greatly enjoy working alongside the team to create a fun, safe and all round amazing server experience. Much of my working life I have been in a position of high stress situations managing teams of people to get the end result to the customer on time with challenging issues along the way. I believe this will work to my benefit in most situations as I have learned to evaluate a situation before reacting.

• Do you meet the requirements for staff?
  • I believe I meet all the requirements set out on the staff applications page.

• Additional infomation.
  • Just to clarify I am an Eco server main player. I joined to play the server, I didn't join the server to be on the forums and discord. I am part of the discord and do check it every day along with the forums for infomation about the servers and the events being held. I know my activity is kind of low and I will over time try to rectify this.

 

Proud to be the first person to support this application! In 3 years on the server I've seen you consistently go out of your way to help new players and show them the way. You help players with their redstone and other various server problems, you break up fights and de-escalate chat, you're very active on eco on a daily basis, and generally I think you'd make a great fit for staff.

I do agree to a point eco does need some more staff activity, yet if needed they are mostly very quick to respond to issues even if on skyblock of on chatcraft.

So, my two cents: Oblivion_HD_ is one of the most mature players with very methodical common sense approaches to every challenge he ever faced. He is very easily able to disassociate from personal vendettas and annoyances to dish out suitable and healthy judgement for majority of actions.

If he is not a suitable staff member, I don't know who is.

100% support and looking forward to actually active staff on Economy.

Oblivion, I think you are very nice, not hot-tempered, in general. But the way you would instigate and not drop issues with some players in public chat was tiresome. As a mod you would have to be able to deescalate matters and I think you need a lot of work on that, and to also not be so rigid as far as the rules are concerned with regards to new players, as they need a bit of time and guidance to read all the rules. We want new players to stay, not be chased off the game for minor infractions.

Additionally, you live with a person who also plays on the same IP (four accounts in total on one IP), what sort of guarantee would the player base have that your partner would not hop on to your account and use it? I have seen them vote for you which is no big deal but access to your account is just as easily available, so that is worrisome.

Finally, you do need to increase your involvement in game, on forums and on discord, as those are prerequisites to the position.

Just to clarify if i had instigated any interaction in the global chat i believe a report should have been made and a punishment would have been handed out as staff require to do so off the evidence of screeshots and video provided not hearsay.

Most of the rules im fine with a bit of give and take. When it comes to breaking them consistantly over and over the player may need to be told clarification of that rule to help them understand it is a rule of the server they are playing on.

Please may i remind you that false information in a staff application is against the rules jane but as you asked above i will let this one slide as to inform you of the correct information.

We do not run 4 accounts off the same IP. That is impossible as per the server code an how you got to this conclusion is intresting to me. The player who i live with has voted for me as you can from your computer and others can from theres.
This doesnt mean that they have access to the account.
Also other staff member in the past have lived with players who also play the server so i see no reason as to why this would be an issue.

My ingame activity is rather high for eco. I will agree that on skyblock, discord and forums it is less as i have mentioned above in the additional infomation section of my application. There is a forum post here for more infomation on platform activity.
