Hello, my user is AceEuro and I play on Economy Skyblock. I have read the rules and believe I was incorrectly muted today. I haven’t broken any chat rules hence my confusion. Many of my prior punishments were also incorrect, and as a player of the server I accept the rules and Code of Conduct.
Hi Ace, thanks for your appeal! You were muted tonight for a few reasons: - You continued to call out a player repeatedly for "getting the CoinFlipAI bot banned". The decision was an important one since it was not compliant with EULA. There was nothing wrong with its removal and a player raising that concern was absolutely warranted. - You continued to call people "instigators" when they weren't doing anything that would be considered instigating - You continued to disrupt chat by starting arguments about the CoinFlip bot - You called myself a "dumb mod" for asking the CoinFlip bots' owner to turn off payments so they didn't accidentally receive payments by unsuspecting players (who didn't know the bot was removed). There's nothing dumb about that. Your mute last night was for instigating chat, continuing to harass a player by calling them an instigator multiple times in a row and making people upset regarding some of the comments you made. Hopefully this clears up any confusion you may have. Do you now understand why you were muted? Thank you, Bree
Hi Novembree. Thanks for your swift response. Actually, this isn’t true, and I feel like you miss a lot of context which is required. On one occasion did I mention a player name in regard to the removal of coinflipai, and if you read the message and surrounding text, I was actually expressing my gratitude for his actions that led to the removal of the bot as I am against gambling and think it discourages new players from playing. This was all said in chat. I hadn’t called anyone an instigator since I called two players that title yesterday. As you would know, you already muted me for this so surely I cannot be punished twice for the same thing. And as you know I already believe, calling someone an instigator when they, in fact, are instigating isn’t grounds for any action. In many cases I was joining arguments about the CoinFlip Bot, and agreeing with others statements. If you could provide specifically when I did this it would be appreciated, because I don’t believe it relates to me. No, I didn’t call you a dumb mod. Can you not twist my words, because verbatim, I said “some dumb mod got mad because pay was on”. This was NOT directed toward you as I had no idea of your interactions with the bot owner, and furthermore, it was regarding a seperate person which I believe had an action which was dumb. No one was actually called out and I was just expressing my frustration. I called Aace an instigator because he is one, he admitted that himself and said I was the 2nd biggest instigator behind him. No punishment there, because it doesn’t deserve one! You have appeared to go through my Chatlogs or evidence and selectively pick and choose what will make me look like I have been breaking the rules, when not one was broken, and I feel quite targeted by other members of your staff who have chosen to have a personal problem with me. “Some people felt upset at your comments” is hardly valid as a mute reason as I feel upset at every single chat that comes through my screen yet the senders of those messages aren’t punished.
I appreciate you clearing this up. The user who reported you was upset that you kept bringing their name up in chat and that it was only causing more issues than it was solving them. From the context I could see (multiple screenshots in succession) it was deduced that you were potentially trying to stir up some more problems. I received another screenshot of you calling someone an instigator yesterday, therefore I believed it was from that day given the fact it was sent to me alongside the other screenshots. It's possible it was not however. I will give you the benefit of the doubt in this case. The only two mods who handled the CoinBotAI situation was myself and Luka. Both of us acted appropriately when handling the situation and asked the bot owner to turn off payments to avoid them getting paid from players who didn't see Crew's post about the bot being taken down. This was a preventative measure and there wasn't any reason to call it "dumb" when we were protecting players from potentially losing money (if the bot owner didn't realize they got paid and didn't know to refund that player). This situation did already occur therefore we were attempting to stop it happening again. I spoke with Ace yesterday and they told me you were being 100% serious about the instigator comments. It's far better to report an issue to staff than to call people an "instigator" which doesn't solve anything. In future, if there are issues that arise in chat please report them rather than getting involved unnecessarily. I have done nothing of the sort. We had a few reports of the comments you made and we reacted appropriately given the evidence we had. Perhaps there was some missing context surrounding the support/no support of the Bot itself, but the rest remains. Given the fact that some context may have been skewed for the first part of the reason you were muted, I will give you some leeway/the benefit of the doubt and unmute you now. This is not defending you for the other comments you made however. I advise you to read our rules before you return to chatting. Have a nice day, Bree
