Hi Grassy, I was the one who banned you so I will be handling this appeal. You were verbally warned by Souly, which you might not of seen but was still sent. Even if you did not see this verbal warning, you were kicked with the same reasoning of your ban Which means that you received two chances to change it. We know for a fact you saw this kick as you rejoined the discord server complaining about it Even if you did miss the verbal warning (which we let set for 24 hours before kicking) you knew that your about me was inappropriate and still needed changed. Instead of changing your about me and pronoun area, you rejoined & complained. Next time, to avoid this, please change it before rejoining our server. I saw that you did change your about me area but not your pronouns. If you couldn’t change your bio and pronouns before rejoining, you should’ve waited until they were changed. Are you interested in explaining why they were inappropriate to continue this appeal?
The verbal warning was sent to you on October 5th, we gave you 24 hours to change your about me. When you joined our Discord server you agreed to our rules, that being you will not discriminate other players. Your about me contained the following text, “Asian kid once chased my dog with chopsticks” this isn’t a joke as much as you would like to think it is. This falls under racism, that being something we don’t tolerate and in most cases results in a instantaneous removal from our discord server. Furthermore, your distasteful take on there being only two genders may be your opinion, but it disrespects other members in our community that may be facing their own issues with this controversial topic. I don’t believe you feel remorseful about your comments as you changed your about me to “Well I was forced to change this :/“ essentially insinuating that you find what you wrote as being fine. We can’t change your beliefs, but we ask that you keep them off our server as they do not belong here.
Was their race necessary to mention? I don’t think it is. The message was sent on my end, I gave you 24 hours. Either your discord filtered it as spam or you deleted it intentionally. You were also kicked to remove it before returning, you state you didn’t have time to change as you were busy that’s fine. But you weren’t busy enough though to re-join and complain about being kicked. It takes a few seconds to change it. it doesn’t specifically state it, but it is common sense that it is a issue a lot of people find controversial is it not? As you can see, “Everyone on our discord deserves a safe space to play free of hate and discrimination.” I bolded the hate part to emphasize that users can feel it’s not a safe space for them if they view your account and read what you wrote. Hope that clears a few things up. Seeing that you now have removed it from your discord, would you agree to not add things in your about me that are not appropriate to our server? Keep in mind, should you reoffend this would mean the punishment would be increased to an even lengthier one.
Grassy Could you give us any assurance that you won’t repeat this behavior? And could you also explain why they were inappropriate. We just need to make sure this is an one time incident before we let you back into the server and with you only arguing & not giving any reassurance, it’s hard to know or guarantee you won’t do this again
Yes, I can assure you that I will not repeat my previous behavior. I understand that it was inappropriate to make claims that a Asian kid chased my dog with chopsticks
