Hi Slag! It's wonderful to see you applying, I love how you have formatted your application too!

First off, I want to say I definitely support you. While there are a few areas of interest I'd like you to work on, in general you are extremely helpful, chatty and knowledgable about the server already. Though you've only been playing since December, you have shown immense dedication to the server and so your playtime does not concern me one bit.

As some others had mentioned, I'd love to see you a *bit* more active on discord. I've noticed that since some other players pointed this out you have made an effort to be on there more often which is wonderful to see!

One other thing I was going to mention is economy activity, but I've also seen you over there a lot more recently which is awesome! Since economy is fairly different from skyblock, it's important you spend the time getting used to the mechanics. I'm happy to see you've already dove straight in!

I think you would make an excellent addition to the staff team. You are very levelheaded, serious when you need to be, and articulate which are all qualities we like to see.

I started playing economy for real a month or two ago, but have ramped it up to about 30% of my total playtime. I’ve spammed the forum with eco related stuff lately, lol. I didn’t think I would like it so much at first, but now I’m actually really into it! Definitely call Gary to help with red stone circuitry still though, hahaha.

Quick little update: of course, thanks to all who commented to support and to elaborate upon my qualities as a potential staff member. I've "worked" (it's been great, tbh, chatting away!) on upping my Disc presence and have maintained my usual hours on SkyBlock. Also motivated me to flip my outdated Disc pfp, heh! Thanks, also, to those who rated, even if they didn't have time to reply. Super-appreciate it.

I've not heard any issues with viewing it and have had good feedback on the format thereof, aesthetically, at least. I think it's you? Private browsing? Mobile? Advert blocking? I'm happy to DM you on Disc with a copy if you wish. Thanks for letting me know, if you have an issue, even if it's uncommon, inevitably someone else is going to have the same issue.

I have now edited my original post to attach as a separate file a jpeg of the staff app, though it is long so it cuts the ends off a wee bit. It's a bandaid solution, but I hope it helps!

 

Huh, it's just an image file, that's no good. It meets the image file size requirements, but hey, I'm glad to know now such that people can view it in an alternative format! Hope it wasn't a deterrent.

This is quite back-handed, and furthermore I do not agree: the staff has been helpful in handling your continued inappropriate behavior toward me Discord, in-game, etc quite expeditiously in all cases, for instance. In any event, this is not really the place for retaliation or for dragging the rest of the staff down, but I will respond to your criticism in good faith, both because it is a valid critique of me and because my presence on economy might be a concern to others as well. Allow me to elaborate:

On Eco, I have assisted in aesthetic builds when people have asked for assistance, cropper issues, and of course, the general problems new players face that carry across both servers (click the obsidian with your bucket, your chicken didn't disappear it's just entity stacking, etc). I really try to answer ALL of those questions I see, because I remember how frustrating it was when I was new to see my questions be ignored when I was confused about how the server works. I also defer when I do not know the answer, and try to direct confused persons to other players online who I know are more knowledgeable than me on certain topics.

I have worked with others to increase farm efficiency, and even came up with a handy new way to quickly kill stacked entities in the new update: soul campfires (no loss of meat to the flame, kills more swiftly than a normal campfire). I felt quite chuffed when I designed that mechanism, worked great for what I needed. I feel confident, mechanistically, in assisting on Eco. I made sure of that before applying for staff. Because I don't "main" Eco, I think I actually have more of a capacity to be helpful there, in some ways. I play in a very relaxed manner on there and therefore am pretty active in the chat when I am on.

Relatedly to Eco, I have also been active in bug-bashing (here, for instance) and in suggesting changes (implemented) to improve gameplay. I hope these examples of my Eco activities alleviates some of your concern!
