After playing more on /skyblock recently, I've noticed how much more of an impact the lottery has on that server compared to what you see on /economy. Given the recent and rapid inflation of economy balance, the buy in of $500 makes the lottery somewhat of a joke. I mean, being able to buy in with 2 grass blocks on /skyblock, is equivalent to upwards of $20k economy balance. I'd love to see some more interesting draws on /economy, and I would advocate for somewhere around a maximum of $25,000, with each ticket costing $1,000 (purchase between 1-25 tickets). Let me know what you guys think!
I completely support. Lottery is supposed to be risky and fun, and as of right now it's basically something anyone can do and it won't even affect their pocket. Plus there is to consider that the economy has skyrocketed. Maybe not up completely to 25k but definitely higher. Probably around 5-10k I think would be appropriate and be affordable to new members who still want to gamble. Amazing suggestion Beens!
I think it would be nice to see the lottery plugin updated, it would be nice if there was a way to change the amount of money you put per ticket into the lottery so that it's more fun and useful for players. Maybe even changing the max of tickets that you could buy could be nice to make it more fun and random. In all support! I think this would be a great idea!
Support, people should be able to buy more tickets if they choose. I do think we need to balance it to ensure everyone can access the lottery
I fully support this, 500 is absolutely pathetic say u have more than 100k in game money what is winning 1k going to help you with it should be a decision for everyone to make
The lottery should also allow new players (who would benefit the most from winning) to participate, if the ticket prices are too high or if others can afford way more tickets they won't be able to do that (or have a realistic winning chance). It's unlikely that we'll increase the amount of tickets you can buy but we might increase the per-ticket price. The lottery system will in general receive a few changes, this includes price pool affecting changes as well as QoL changes.
I think 1k per ticket is actually very affordable for new players. Like there's almost always someone online to explain how profit shops work to new players (and we do regularly). And 1000 takes probably less than a minute to get using that method.
I agree that 1k might be a good price. We are generally trying to get away from the current pumpkin/profit shop driven economy by introducing new systems and changing old ones.
Make the price 10k and remove all ticket limits if you actually want it to be fun. Basic laws of statistics indicate that no matter how many times you win, the amount that's won will always even out between players. If you're going to have a lottery regardless of if you like it or not, you might as well make it interesting and fun for the new players. Let them randomly win 50 million from all of the loaded highrollers dumping in millions at a time
Removing all ticket limits would be bad. No matter how cheap the tickets are, if there is no ticket limit, then new players don't stand a chance at winning anything
