This thread is to discuss the new warp casino as there was quite a few complaints and issues brought up. All discussion from the news thread is moved to here which is the proper section for server related discussion. Thank you for your cooperation.
Really, we have /warp casino now. The following line is copied from the Minecraft commercial usage guidelines. all servers, entitlements, and advertising are suitable for children and minors (i.e., no gambling, pornography, etc.) and don’t harm the Brand. Why is Drogo not surprised.
That and some of the redstone is incorrectly explained. With some redstone not explained whatsoever. Glad they felt it was a good idea to showcase stuff they can’t even explain.
Also adding to these 2 smarta$$es above me, having every single new player building a casino will ruin the economy will it not? It will also be a waste of their time and items/grass. idk if what im saying makes sense but you get the point.
After all every new player has to decide for himself in which way he wants to earn his grass, I think its good to show basic redstone (if the creators are credited) because it takes away the possibility for people to steal basic designs and sell them all over the server. For advanced and more unique designs, which will eventually become more and more important when everyone has a 3slot, you can hit up some pros.
I would like to mention that warp casino was never meant as a tutorial. It was named “Casino Examples” for a reason. It is simply meant to show that a casino is a lot more than a few droppers and pieces of red stone dust. It gives a simple explanation for the reasoning behind each part, and is not in any way a full tutorial. That’s why it wasn’t detailed, and some signs are vague.
But should you be promoting casinos and gambling at all given Minecraft’s commercial usage guidelines state “no gambling”
Quit complaining about the warp and just appreciate the build wtaf. Guy number one: if you don't like casinos and want everything kid friendly, find another damn server that is Guy number two: you only care about the casino warp because no everyone has an equal chance and your casino will have some competition... get over it, stop gatekeeping Guy number three: the economy is being controlled by the rich and it will be ruined only by the rich. Quit complaining The warp is very helpful. I always forget things since I come and go. Gonna open a casino bro, sounds fun. Dunno who pissed in their cereal but you ain't deserve that s***. We're talking about a redstone machine here that gives in-game items. I don't think this is against any guidelines as it's just redstone mechanics that are part of the game. The community is the one that introduced this aspect to the server too. We never provided info prior. All we are doing now is showcasing simple designs for new players to make their own or learn how the other "casinos" out there function. I think a lot of players would be upset if we limited redstone even more to disable this so we will not do so.
Slot machines are made of metal, wiring and require electricity, none of which changes the fact that it’s a slot machine. Just because it uses redstone doesn’t change the fact that it’s a casino; focus on the purpose not materials. I had casinos, but saying it doesn’t promote anything is wrong, it promotes gambling. Whether it be virtual grass blocks or real currency, you’re still gambling.
That was a rhetorical question really. It’s more than redstone mechanics. It’s the intent and purpose of those mechanics. Else flying machines and lag machines are just redstone mechanics. Also casinos do more than just give in game items, they also take in game currency and like all casinos, the odds are in favour of the operator and so they take more than they give. (If run correctly). They are certainly used for gambling. Also, also, yes the community introduced the aspect, but the server seems to now accept and promote it. Drogo’s main concern is that the server not run into any trouble as adherence to these guidelines should take precedence over keeping players happy.
Guy number stupid. The developers and owners of the Minecraft platform want the game kid friendly. All I did was quote from the guidelines that all servers should be adhering to. I’ve raised a valid point, all you’ve done is come with insults. It seems you’re playing the wrong game and should perhaps move on.
I hate to agree with Drogo. You’re obviously out of touch thinking my concern is my casino having competition lol. My casinos don’t make much if any grass due to the odds being extremely player friendly. Maybe quit insulting people needlessly and focus on something else. (On another note…who are you? What is your IGN? Do you even play the game? You come off as extremely rude and have no basis for the rudeness except your own warped view.)
Quit trying to sound smart, what happened to the competition you were talking about with "Guy 2"? With over half the population of skyblock building a casino, wether or not they are a well known player, will cause harm to the economy. Im pretty sure those guys weren't complaining about the update or whatever (except the guy talking about the server being pg or whatever, the guy is obsessed with that pg stuff), we were literally giving feedback which we have the right to do wether or not you, the staff, or any other player don't like it. Stop looking at everything from a negative view.

EXACTLY WHAT IM SAYING. You're the last person I would ever think would understand what I was saying. Some steve is just gonna walk up and lose a fortune on some trash casino and then get scammed by a larger play with their "Player friendly odds".
Last restock we actually had to pull grass from our pockets because the casinos didn’t make enough to even pay for the prizes that paid out, so I think my statement was fair. Also never knew I’d agree with ya so much in one thread heh.
