Had a bunch of stuff from voting on classic and it made me create an island and now all the stuff in my inventory is gone. Would be nice if I could get my stuff back.
By stating "it made me" did the server randomly make you create a new island or did you type the command? If you were to type the command all of your current in-game items would get removed from your inventory. If your island randomly reset, you might want to tag one of the developers to look into that. You can let me know what you lost and I'll see if I can replace anything!
If you type /newisland with an inventory of stuff, they will disappear. And as far as I know, you can’t get that stuff back from a staff member unless they are willing to give you the items you lost from their storage, and that goes for anyone. Mods don’t have creative mode so if they, or any other player, decide to give you your items back, it will be from what they have. But I do agree with what Emerald said. If you lost an island that you had, you’ll need to contact a higher up staff that can probably help, like maybe Kerahna or Dexuby. Good luck.
It was my first time on classic so tondo anything I had to make an island. There was nothing else I could do with my items. Had a bunch of grass, vote keys and a spawner. Kinda sucks that my items are all gone.
It will be hard to prove you had these items in order to get them back. I recommend in the future making use of an enderchest before resetting or starting a new island. I think it’s highly unlikely that there will anyway to get these items back.
I am able to replace your grass and vote keys, and possibly the spawner for you out of my own inventory as I do not play classic now. In the future though like Megan said, please remember to keep all valuables you want to keep in an echest as they will be removed every other way, unless items are kept at someone else's island.
Kinda hard to use a ender chest when you don't have an island. Also there is no need for you to give me your items. Would be nice if you could see inventory logs or something. Classic is a dead server so it is what it is.
I am sorry to hear with what happened to you and if you need me to replace an echest + your items in the future just give me a DM. If you consider this resolved a mod can close this thread for you. Inventory logs are not available, but if you had any items in a chest they would be able to be logged.
When creating a new island it states that your inventory will be wiped. Maybe you should've given it to an alt, used an echest on someone's island, or simply dropped it on the floor of a quiet location.
I really do not care about these item just wanted to know if I could get them back seems like the answer is no so it is what it is.
It's highly unlikely even with video proof that you could get items reimbursed. In very rare cases is effort actually made to reimburse players for items that have been lost to bugs, the void, island creation, etc.
Yeah figured so. Getting staff to help with getting items back is hard enough, getting them back on classic would be even harder.
I'm sure a staff member would be happily able to get on classic if desired, however, due to the average players being less than 10, a staff member isn't really needed on there and at times should check on classic to make sure that playerbase ins running smooth. A moderator, anyone that offered, or I myself, would be happy to donate back what you lost
This isn't entirely true. There are some facts I'd like to enlighten on this conversation with. 1. We do not have inventory or dropped items logs (We can not be sure what you had/when you had it/what happened with it) 2. You are warned when restarting an island that your inventory will be cleared. Due to the lack of evidence and logs its hard to prove what people sometimes had. We don't do it out of laziness or spite, we just can't take a players word for it, we need logs and evidence to be able to retrieve or look at retrieving items. The retrieval process itself is very timely, hence we don't take on tasks if there is no evidence prior. I hope this makes sense.
