While the addition of crop hoppers does wonders for lag as it allows for more TPS efficient farms, the current sale prices for crops are not balanced and the current state makes any farm besides pumpkins a waste of time. Even worse, it creates a world where players just need to AFK an alt all day to get rich and no build or redstone skill is required. This is an economy server, not a park your alt and get rich server. By dramatically reducing or even eliminating profits from /sell all on pumpkins, players will be forced to do everyone's least favorite thing -- interact with other players. I don't think the price at /warp shop needs to be lowered. I do think a player should either be forced to manually cash in the crops themselves or have a profit shop (which benefits the economy). Profit shops help new players get up to speed and with the current model, the gap between rich and noob will only continue to grow. As you read this thread and you see the inevitable complaining, ask yourself if the ones complaining about this suggestion are using a modded client and /sell all and disagree with this suggestion to serve their own selfish interests or if they in fact have a good point as to why the current system makes the server better for all.
Unfortunately I'm a no support on this, my reason behind it is, not long before crop hoppers were introduced I'm pretty certain /sell all prices were nerfed, doing this again will slow the economy down again so much, considering the server seems to be heading towards a fast pace money making server now.
Unfortunately this is what croppers have done to the server that Drogo now refers to as Pumpkinblock. In addition to having already nerfed the /sell all value of many items, they have increased the cool down on that command.
I am neutral on this. They recently lowered the price of pumpkins with /sell all and increased the cool down on the /sell all command. I think I’d much rather see an attempt to balance all of the other farmable items.
Maybe the shop could dynamically decrease and increase sell prices of farmable items depending on the popularity; items that are sold more often to shop by players will decrease in price, and the other way round.
I have seen this on other servers and love this suggestion. I fail to see how a faster economy does anything but benefit already established players who can't be bothered with actually playing the game. Nerf pumps or buff other crops, I'd agree with either, though it's really the ability to auto-spam /sell all that I think hurts the economy most.
This might be more widely accepted if they increased the sell amount per sale at /warp shop increased as suggested in another post.
Reducing prices in any economy is bad news, inflation is an essential concept to an economy. The only way is up, it is much more beneficial to raise the prices of the lower items to be reasonable Also alot of profit shops do not get used so basically you say those people should be forced to manually sell or just not sell at all?
