So my parents didn't trust my ability to build a computer and ended up buying a 1.2k computer that was only worth almost 400$. But now that I have convinced them I know how to do it, I finally have the option to build my own, and by the end of the summer (if I earn enough money and get a job and such), I'm gonna build this pc: CPU: amazon 198$ Ram: crucial 75$ MOBO: newegg 80$ PSU: amazon 55$ (the price is cheap but it was recommended by linus) Case: amazon 60$ Cooling: AMD stock cooler is fine, has room for a bit of overclocking thermal compound: amazon 13$ Total: 483 (-gcard, will be separate, storage not needed here) Welp thats pretty much my whole goal, although I would really really really love some feedback about any ideas you had, if there were any parts you found for cheaper, or different parts that are better! As long as it isn't an intel cpu. AMD is where its at. Better performance, better price, and compatibility with ECC ram.
Yes ???? No shot should you spend that much on a mobo in this build's price range unless youre overclocking HARD Thats leaving next to 0 room for upgrades unless youre going to "upgrade" a 1050 to a 1060... Yikes
True, what about this one: ASRock B450M PRO4 AM4 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - Newegg.com hmm i guess i'll see about a better power supply this one? https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-Certified-Modular-Microsoft-Standby/dp/B079H6111J?th=1 or this? (same wattage but cheaper )https://www.amazon.com/Seasonic-GX-650-Full-Modular-Application-SSR-650FX/dp/B077J9QTDR/ref=psdc_1161760_t2_B079H6111J oop this one is the cheapest, but it is also like you said, a corsair 650 CORSAIR CX Series CX650 650W ATX12V, Power Supply - Newegg.com i dont have a set budget but i'm payin and I don't think i can really do over 1k the 1.2k was my last one that my parents bought because they just saw "oo lifetime warranty" even though the pc was crap also the thing about waiting in the summer is that all the graphics card prices just keep rising ;(
1050ti? My guy are you in 2013 or what? its 2021 stick with a Radeon 570 or 580 (get it used you can get a good deal if you search properly) Or check back frequently on pc partpicker and you may get a good deal on a 1650, 1650 super, 570, or a 580 brand new. A few hours ago I saw a GTX 1650 for 169 Better yet don't buy anything right now. Graphic cards, cpus, and RAMs (there may be more that will skyrocket) are sky high right now. If you can get a used custom pc around that price or better with better specs within your area. And do not use iBuyPower, cyberpowerpc, or any online custom pc shop they overcharge their custom pcs just like many computer manufacturers overcharge prebuilt pcs
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7y2Mmk I also believe you should honestly hold out into investing into a pc atm, it'll be worth the wait for gpu prices to return to normal so you're not overpaying for a mid tier card. Your best option currently is to slowly be buying parts you see cheap and maybe consider a 2nd hand option, so EBay will be your best friend. (Ebay is very buyer biased so if the product received doesn't work you can remedy it easily). As well as that, might be good to mention to your parents that each part has it's individual warranty so they'll give you the 1.2k leniency. I would honestly stay at a 1k build and just invest like 150$ into a 144hz monitor.

[/QUOTE] Aight sounds good, I won't be able to for a month or two anyways. Dwdw I'm building it by hand, ordering only the parts Yeah imma wait out that gpu Good idea, I guess i'll just order ones I can get for a good deal and slowly put it all together
If you've got the retail price on that at 160$ I'd take it but it does perform worse than the rx 590 and matches the rx 580 in performance.
you don't need an antistatic wrist strap, and I would highly recommend arctic mx-4 thermal compound; it is amazing. Other than that I would highly recommend 3600mhz ram found here: Crucial 16GB Ballistix DDR4 3600 MHz UDIMM Gaming BL2K8G36C16U4B It will be much better than the ram you have currently selected. Also, what monitor are you looking at/do you have? Also, A better PSU would be this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00S8NOAJ8?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1 You don't need 650W, and this PSU is cheaper and semi-modular. P.P.S: Wait for a GPU, I know its against your instincts but trust me, prices will fall.
It scores a 9833 while the 580 gets a 8778, and also the rx 580 is twice as much (literally a minimum of 300) Aight i'll go look for that thermal compound Heck yeah, 5 bucks for 600mhz more? Ooo definitely going to use that PSU. Yeah, imma wait out the GPU a few months. Umm my monitor is pretty entry-level but I'm ok with that, its 60hz refresh rate, its the HP 22yh

I got this. The 570 is less powerful than the 1650 super. The 580 doesn't match it that well. 590 is close but it is more expensive than the 1650 super (at normal retail prices)
often times major retailers will show it is at that price but you have to check your nearby store to see if they have it in stock as well as any nearby locations. The locations near me don't have it in stock (primarily due to the surge in demand for gpus due to covid) but they can mail it to my location.
I am able to get it with 2 day shipping This card is literally cheaper than ones worse than it, and waayyyyyy bettter
Is it just me or is that card a suspiciously amazing deal I might buy it now and use it on my current rig and then buy the rest over the summer and on my birthday YOOOO IT GETS A 11526
1660 Super may be like $40 more but hell is it worth it (some people have had FPS double in some games) I recommend sticking to the 20 or even 30 series GPUs for now though, you'll have to wait a few months for those prices to drop (as pretty much everyone has said) if your basing all your performance knowledge of a GPU on its performance mark, prepare to be disappointed currently your parts are good, but I'd recommend bumping up your GPU to something more modern and maybe buy a larger HDD, as in my case I got like 7 games and my 1tb hdd was full after that so
