Drogo is looking to improve his service to map art creators and so has this question for you all.

How cheap would wool have to be for you to no longer bother collecting the carpets?
That is, for each map art, you just clear it, assuming you have a water/dispenser system, and just let clag take it.

To standardise answers, give responses as a grass per map cost.
I.e. happy to spend 10 grass per map without collecting.

Benefits to this would be:
1) Save on time spent collecting and sorting.
2) No tying up hoppers with sorters.
3) Can carry more wool than carpet while building map art if making the carpet on the fly.

Please discuss.

Note: For a price, Drogo can fit a dispenser system to most existing map art canvas’s. You need to provide the buckets yourself but Drogo can provide iron at 5:2 for this.

 

I would usually be happy to spend 7-10 grass per map art I make on wool. Currently already have a map art clearer, but it's dodgy at one of the sides, therefore I have to break that side manually. Not a huge issue and takes less than 5 minutes but would be ideal if the clearer didn't miss any parts. Do let me know if you would be able to guide me to fix this issue without restarting. The account holding the island is permanently banned after I requested as the account may have been compromised. This means I no longer have access to the trust command there.

 

I think the broken side was the random dispensers but I'll have a look at it now being the designer for that system.

Drogo would agree with that however, prices are dropping as competition enters the market.

Can be considered. Shall have to set up a buy back shop for the shulkers.
To be honest, the way wool prices are going, it may get lower than 1 shulker full per grass.

.....but it might just bounce back again as well.

 

I would happily spend 5-8 grass and on a map art and just let clag take it instead of the pain of getting all the maps.

In order for map art to cost only 10 grass in wool Drogo would have to sell 17 stacks per grass and that would not be viable in the long term for Drogo.
Drogo is now selling carpets at the same price as wool, Drogo has done the work for free, and if this sells well there will be more shops created to sell it. If it doesn’t, then Drogo will go back to supplying wool only.

 

As Liam said, thank you Drogo! I’m sure you always see me emptying out your wool when making maparts, just my go-to place. Really appreciate you for doing this
