So at the moment I have a mall in my island, and on my other accounts island I just have this floating islands thing. Said island is covered in quite a lot of grass. So I would want to build myself another island, however I don’t want to get rid of my other. So I was thinking why don’t I sell my other island. Firstly even if someone didn’t want it they’d probably give a pathetic offer compared to what I payed to have it built. But secondly, is there something stopping me from selling an island with more than a certain amount of grass placed on it? Like if there is, I could replace it with green wool and if someone buys it be like you have to replace all the births with green wool in grass and dirt. So is there a restriction or?
i think the only real issue is dirt. but idk because when u mine grass u get dirt.. Michael K41YU BertBerry
You can only sell islands with the amount of grass/dirt that is on a normal starter island. I believe this is around 76 blocks. What you said about replacing the grass with green wool is perfectly fine. You can also only sell an island with a maximum of 3 sand, also like a starter island. Exceeding these limits and the island trade would be considered illegal trading, and it may result in a punishment for you and the buyer.
Ah great thanks! I’ll make sure to do the wool thing and double check that no sand is present. Thank you!
Is this true for all servers? On /classic I've seen players (try to) sell terraformed islands covered in grass. No one has said anything about that being illegal, since I assume other players, just like me, see the grass for what it is, rather than think of it as dirt and as such make offers based on the conversion from grass to diamond. For example: an island with 200 grass would be 10 diamonds + whatever else is present and some extra for the time it took. If this is in fact illegal, is it considered island farming?
Yes, this is true for all servers where illegal trading is not allowed (all skyblock servers). It is illegal trading, since the grass could be broken and collected as dirt - grass spreads onto dirt so the grass placed on an island, such as a terraformed one, could just be dirt which had grass spread onto it. Regardless of whether or not it is dirt or legitimately all placed grass blocks, it is still not allowed and is classified as illegal trading. Only the maximum amount of dirt/grass (76 blocks) can be sold with the island. If you witness any illegal island trading, feel free to report it.
