Implemented /pay support for the Economy server.

The title says it all really. There are many reasons to add this function back to the vanilla plugin game and it is easy to reimplement. Essentials and vault already support the economy for /pay, and this server already uses Vault as an economy handler. I reported an exploit with /pay months ago when economy came out but /pay was never implemented despite the issue being fixed. Please vouch this thread if you would like an easier way to transfer money aside from auctioning a dummy item on /ah just to move currency. Please also share this thread with everyone else so we can get this feature re-added to the server, thanks.

Fully agree with you, it would make transfers much easier. If the exploit has been fixed, I see no reason not to add the /pay command into to economy server. Total support on this one!

Support! Omg, I really need this because it would be so much more convenient rather than having to go through the process on ah to pay other players. Plus, this doesn't really negatively affect players in any way that I can think of so why not. You have my full support!

 

The server came out months ago and it was supposed to be fixed a week after it came out I swear???

I think lee is a pretty smart cookie and would have implemented it by now. There might be a few reasons that are stopping him from doing so.

• For one, /pay sort of messes up the importance of trade chests and makes them less useful in a way
• It could also make scams more easier to occur, wheras if you "get scammed" from a tradeshop, you still get something in return. /pay is just sending money from one end to the other
• It could also encourage exploits. For example, if you're using an alt to exploit a server feature to gain money, you could distribute it among other players/accounts, creating something potentially dangerous in terms of the stability of the economy itself
• I personally prefer the idea of a /pay-less economy. Sort of how the grass system is, you can't particularly /pay grass to others, which, again, lets players get creative with malls, stores, etc., just like how it is on economy at the moment.
• Also using /pay can further promote AFK farming. There's nothing wrong with it, but when players take their farms to radical levels, it creates more lag. With lee trying his best to tackle the lag problem head on, there seems to be only so much he can do. Having a large chunk of the online players being AFK-alt farmers is not the answer to progressively fixing the lag issues on economy. (Personally, I believe the unbearable lag deserves a bit more attention than a flawed command)

So, in the end, my final stance is a big fat no support.

 

I think /pay is great but also it makes people with alts a lot easier to farm and give each account money, making it harder to compete with the people with multiple alts because they can be so much lazier, Neutral for me

 

Support support support. I've been playing since 2013 and if I miss anything, it is /pay. It just makes thing run more smoothly and efficient. Yes there are other ways to get the job done with chestshops or /ah, but /pay will make players happier and more comfortable with transferring the currency.

 

While some of this is true, some of it is not, and you can use trade shops to give people money without the fear of being scammed (assuming you know how to analyze them), so why not add /pay, especially since players might not know the trick to bypass /pay.

Support, it won't hurt to add and will be useful for new players.

That's weird you guys don't have it still, noobcrew enabled it again a month ago ish on mineverse I had assumed that's because I thought he fixed dupe bug. Since he fixed the bug there I assume he would know how to fix it here too but support on there he added a /paytoggle command not sure if that would help here.

 

I think /pay is sort of a no brainer when hosting an economy server.
Although the fact that it hasn't been added yet and that the thread has been inactive for over 2 months (without being locked) probably means this section is not active/being looked at by the devs.
