Someone said "bishes" and "drug dealers" and I find it odd that "drug" isn't blacklisted. i'm not trying to be rude or anything, but should that be said?
I don’t feel like drug is that bad of a word to be filtered. It can be used inappropriately but that is something that can be dealt with by staff. The more strict the filter becomes with word additions and such the more resources it can draw which affects performance. So carefully choosing the negative words that have the biggest impact is key. Yet I don’t find chatter about drugs to be overly common. I think it’s fine the way it is. There are some words that probably could be omitted from the filter but that’s another matter all together
I don’t think the term drugs should be filtered but maybe the branches off it should be, such as the illegal ones, because in theory drugs could mean something like calpol and stuff which to my knowledge isn’t inappropriate.
thanks James! I feel the same way. someone could just be describing what prescription they are on, but things such as "illegal drugs", or "drug dealer" should not be allowed.
Honestly, conversations like this aren't very common at all - I think I have seen people talking about something like this once the whole time I've been playing here I think the filter right now is okay as it is: perhaps certain words branching from drugs could be added (even then I don't think it's entirely necessary) but the words drugs itself definitely shouldn't be filtered
That isn't really necessary to add you. Thats what staff here are for plus filtering many words especially ones that aren't really that "negative" for example like what you said "Drugs" it can also be used in other ways but not necessary in some negative way or so
I think its fine, though I agree on "bishes" though. Honestly I use the word drugs a lot and I dont see any problem with it. As long as you're not promoting it, like encouraging players to do it, and using it as a joke, then it shouldn't be a problem? Same goes for on forums. I use the word drugs a lot with a lot of people I talk to and I see it as a joke and fun way to enlighten a conversation *nudge nudge* BertBerry
