I don’t think It should be done. A barely built island may still hold some value. The world is large and can fit many islands so I don’t see it as a necessity to recycle islands at this point.

At the expense of other islands isn't a very courteous idea.
Having active neighbours doesn't matter. Honestly I had inactive neighbours since the very beginning and when my neighbour came back they bridged and griefed me (won't happen now),
The server is smaller compared to classic back in the day so it won't fill the world.

The idea is nice, but I dont think it should be done. When I came back after a 2ish year break I was very annoyed my island was gone (that was before I was told about /classic)

Neutral. Its just us mostly us who benefit from this mostly as if this is added then we would be getting or MIGHT get active neighbours though there is a possibility the old previous inactive neighbours might come back and they might be annoyed, mad and sad cause of their island being replaced mostly if they have built a lot on their island.

No support, even if the cut off was after a year of inactivity it still shouldn't be done. I recall going back to my island on /classic after about 1 and a half years of inactivity and was pleased to see my items etc. were still there.

    Good morning, Mr. Death.

This is actually a feature that was planned from the beginning; you are ahead of the curve.

One of the most persistent complaints from Classic Skyblock was about inactive neighbors. When 1.12 was released there were extremely long and detailed discussions on island placement, movement, "reserved" vs "owned" spaces and-- most relevant-- archival and restoration.

However we still need policies on the where, when and how often. Since this topic was expected to rarely come up the discussion was pushed back for a later date. It looks like this might be a good time to put it back on the table.

Thank you for the reminder, sir. Happy Skyblocking!

    Kind regards,
    //Myrmidous

    No support.
I do not want my island removed if I started-built it even if it was small.

I support the idea, but it depends on how they decide to go about the situation. As in requirements for deletion. So as for now I go with neutral.

    You start a new island
You chopping down your tree and and harvest all island material
Then you leave and whont be online for a year.
Thats the thing i mostly talking about.
    I seen it on classic.

Support, I have visited some of my neighbors on past islands, and some have had nothing done to them whatsoever or some are just the single piece of bedrock. The only way I think this would work well is if it was only islands like this that would be recycled.

I'm going for neutral now. I can see how this would work out but I don't want by any means anyone's island getting deleted that HAS done something. I personally think that the only islands that should be recycled are the the extremely simple ones, with no blocks more than the starter ones (example: only 1 bedrock, default island with no changes etc) after a specific period of time (like 1 or 2 years). If that's the case, I support.

Well little more than original blocks but not much, and if any value blocks like (spawner, beacon alot of iron/gold and similar is placed, the island shall remain)
