I'm truly sorry you're unhappy Arma. The wither and iron golem pet thing was because within 45 minutes of introducing them, someone spawned a wither pet being ridden by an iron golem pet, and teleported to an island where monster spawning wasn't allowed, causing one of the pets to despawn in the middle of a server tick, triggering a server panic and a hard crash. Understand when the server crashed like that, and Noobcrew saw it was caused by the plugin I had just enabled, the choice he gave me was to disable the two pets that caused the server to crash or to remove the pets plugin entirely. I figured that disabling just the two pets that caused the crash would be less bad than disabling everyone's chicken pets when they weren't hurting anything. It was truly regrettable, I know, and I really felt awful about it (and still do), but I'm sure you can agree that we can't just have the server crashing like that due to a plugin that wasn't quite as ready for prime time as I'd hoped. And yes, I have to own that one. It was totally my fault and I deserve whatever anyone might have to say about it. I thought I was doing something nice by going the extra mile and getting a broken third-party plugin working and doing something extra special for Donor400's and it just totally went wrong in the worst possible way. As for the sand thing, several suggestions have been put forward recently. I presented a list of them to Noobcrew yesterday, and I'm waiting to hear back from him. Just to set clear expectations, though, from my experience working with Noobcrew, he's very cautious about making any changes to kits, /warp trade, island composition, or other aspects of the core game mechanic unless there's a specific problem that needs to be fixed and he can be sure it won't create other problems. These types of changes can have ripple effects we can't always foresee, and undoing these changes later if they cause game-breaking problems can cause even more unhappiness than never having made them at all. (Hence why I still feel awful about the whole wither pet thing.) To be fair, the amount of sand in the donor100 and donor250 kits has been that way as long as I can remember even on classic. Obviously people will always want more stuff if they can get it, but that's not likely to persuade Noobcrew that it's a good idea. You can bet he's going to ask me what's suddenly changed that has made this such a hot topic right now, and I honestly don't know how to answer him.
This issue of the reduced sand in the skygod kit for years. It isn't a new complaint. Therefore it isn't sudden, it is just a lingering issue brought up. Remember the thread I made about losses and gains. One small way to compensate for the recent nerfs would be to improve the skytitan kit slightly and consider a suggestion that allows all ranks to get sand some how. Small changes without extravagant reasoning... those small quality of life changes are the ones that never were changed on classic causing unhappy players and discontent. Being cautious is fine but it is holding the server back from its true potential. This is why other servers continued to grow while skyblock remained. As I said in my thread previously and as I predicted, players are becoming increasingly unhappy because everything gets nerfed or taken away with little in return. Promised perks that fail don't get compensated with something else. Hence if the wither things failed there has to be some other way like testing a wither disguise for donor400's. Have a trial run of the disguise and see if it causes issues and if it doesn't, easy fix to the pet issue. To make it fair it can be added to the leg crate as a very low chance prize. You don't feel the changes you make except in terms of complaints or if it impacts the server physically in some way. Which is why it is fair to say that 5 extra sand in a kit isn't game breaking. It is just extra decoration potential. It won't unbalance the game since Skygods get 15 sand every two days and Skytitans will get 20 every two days. It is harmless. It will collectively make the two ranks that get this kit happy and hopefully make skytitan more worth it for those who were thinking of upgrading. Out of all the suggestions that are asking for more, this would be one of the most reasonable, and low risk ones.
I don't care about the pets, its that we only have the donor250 kit, and that /kit spawner has been nerfed. Would it be possible to have the donor250 kit & the donor100 kit for donor400?
So if this suggestion is already resolved (according to you and not to the owner), then should this thread be locked Brandon?
