Also no not minimods, and yes they are very annoying but just other people who are trying to act like mod or trying to get mod.
I only report for major offence or anything like that but when it comes to some minor spamming or caps I would gather evidence and warn them a few times and if they still do it I would go report them or report to a mod in discord. And not everyone who reports is a wannabe mod
It is funny that most "mini-mods" are far from what mods should be. It comes down to the fact that telling others not to do something when you don't have the authority to make them stop is going to cause more arguments than its worth. We don't need a bunch of people spamming at someone to stop spamming, nor do we need everyone to gang up on someone just for being inappropriate. It can make the situation so much worse if you threaten to report or single someone out. The fact that "mini-mods" think they are doing the right thing makes it difficult to explain why they are actually wrong. Let mods handle things because they are equipped to deal with situations that gets out of hand. Players should report people to moderators instead of trying to deal with it themselves. Ignore people who are making chat annoying for you instead of try and lecture them. I had to witness many people gang up on one person over one little mistake that it created a huge scene in chat that took ages to resolve. All being of this idea that its wise to tell people what to do. Finally know that doing this does not increase your chances at moderator. Showing that you have skills to defuse a situation or know how to solve issues without creating a disturbance or drama is much more effective. Showing that you can read a situation and be mature is what counts. Not how many people you can report. In short, do what helpful players do and wait for people to ask for help then answer questions where you can. Report users who are doing the wrong thing, especially something that would affect the chat and always remember becoming mod isn't a contest, moderation relies on team work so you need to prove you are that team player.
Please tell me how this thread is rude I am extremely angered at the fact that 5 people so far rated it this way.
Because you attempted to insult a whole load of people with incorrect information, as no one reports thirty times a day for minor offences, and then posted a thread about it. It wasn’t written politely at all, it looked as if it was meant just to hurt others.
I personally do not find your post rude as such, I think if you had developed this into a proper post perhaps your point would have been put across better. But I can see how it can be taken as a rude post. Perhaps next time try not to insult others while stating your argument and you would get less negative ratings.
It is not incorrect, It is an opinion, I don't like people who go out of their way to report someone cause they said the A word.
You made a thread to try and insult a whole load of people, it was rated rude because in people’s opinion, your thread was rude.
