I have a website suggestion (duh) to make!
The host/creator of a thread should be able to delete any posts off of a thread that they created. There is a report feature but sometimes the mods don’t handle the report for some reason, and personally, I don’t feel like waiting, especially if there aren’t any moderators online. And if you don’t think this shouldn’t be a thing on all created threads, then how about moderator applications. There’s so many people who just like to derail them, especially mine, and I would to just be able to delete them. Only thing is that for these deletions, you NEED a reason to delete the person’s post. You can’t just delete them without a reason or a proper reason.

And as a second suggestion within this one, is that staff should be able to see all deleted messages with the reason as to why they were deleted and they can decide if they should stay deleted or to be brought back.

You realize being mod in game means you’re a mod on forums right? Seems like a fake quality then...

Eeeh no. I foresee a lot of people deleting "no support, you're not very nice on the server" or someone they dislike and argue with regularly commenting on their threads with the excuse that it's 'harassment'. Moderators are here to stop people from breaking the rules. Reports are only left open for long periods of time if it's a borderline or sensitive issue, in which case, it's often not urgent. I've not noticed our response time being that bad, but correct me if I'm wrong.

 

And that’s why I added this part! I understand that the top part is too op but that is why the second part should be added as well. For any wrong/unjust deletes, the player can get a warning (or a couple) and if they keep on doing then it can be considered abuse and they should be banned or have that ability to delete posts restricted for some time. And of course, continuous abuse can have their perms taken away forever. Kinda like rating perms.

 

It's perfectly fine how it is, and I see people abusing this, so no.
If you really want a message deleted that badly take it through a staff member. Simple.

 

I agree, and seriously...imagine what a broken patchwork posts might become if this were implemented! Browsing some threads might appear more like sifting through an archaeological dig site than anything else. :dead
