Hello Skyblockers, After months of development, we’re finally proud to announce the release of the new Skyblock.net server! We have added every possible feature we could think of to make the ultimate Skyblock server. We appreciate everyones patience, we have been trying to perfect it for a long time now, and it's finally here. In regards to the .net you know of, the server that has always been Skyblock.net will still be here, so don’t worry! We will never close it down, it is our first SB server, and we promised the community all the way back in 2013 that we would never reset it after many resets beforehand. We have the world capped at 500k islands with over 2.7 million unique players joined! It will be considered “Skyblock Classic”, but basically Skyblock2, it has many features alike and over the next few months the features from the new server will slowly update onto the classic server, minus core features from the new SB such as upgradable islands, levels, and various other features within the SB menu. You can teleport between servers by using the menu displayed when typing /servers. Also, if you have a rank, it will transfer over to the new server as well, though after 2/12/18, ranks will have to be purchased separately moving forward. Anyways, what you all are wanting to read, the new features: SB Menu - The interactive menu that displays all of the functions of the server and your Skyblock. Friends - Your very own Friends list, add & view players you love. Levels - Number that represents how big your island is and what type of blocks are placed. Upgrades - Ability to upgrade your island space from the default 99x99 block size up to 149x149 and 199x199. This is a buyable feature only, a lot of players have asked for bigger space though this cannot be given to everyone as the larger an island space is, when resetting, the more lag it would create. The default is still a huge amount of space, so it's only for those that really need it. Also islands are now farther apart, so you shouldn't see your neighbors as easily as before. Custom Visit Messages - Change your own Welcome message and Screen display message when players visit or when you return to your island. Island Settings - Change every aspect of what can be interacted with on your island for players that visit, you can also enable/disable Mob Spawning & PvP too! This will allow you to make your island completely custom. And would be great for events or particular games you can make up. Island Types - Different versions of Skyblock to play. We currently have, Original Skyblock, Original Skyblock 1.0(the smaller form), Skyblock Mini, Jungle Skyblock, Zen Skyblock, Skyblock Mini, & Skyblock Extended. If you want the most resources however, the Original Skyblock has the most grass and sand blocks than any other. This is so that there is no island that receives more than default. Hardcore Mode - Play any island type in Hardcore Mode! Die once, and you lose everything! We recommend trying this with the Extreme (Skyblock Mini) Island type! Challenges - Complete custom challenges of Skyblock(finally)! Currently you receive rewards, such as grass blocks and cookies. Nothing OP to deter anyone that would abuse this with alts. In the future however, we are planning to add a Skillcape, where anyone that completes all of the challenges will have access to a cape that we will decide on in the future. Top Islands - View the Top Islands by their level rank within the SB menu. Player Stats - View your player stats, such as challenges completed, last played, etc. More will be added in the future! Change Biomes - Change your biome of your island to 11 other variants. This feature costs 2 grass blocks however, to reduce spamming. Interactive Co-Op/Trusted players menus - View/Add/Remove players to your Co-Op or trusted list, menu displays players for easy viewing. New ranks - Instead of Donor, we have added [Skyknight], [Skyking], [Skylord], [Skygod], & [Skytitan] New Spawn, Warp Mob, Passive, Mob Arena - New spawns made by Rythen & Losttt. Chat name hover - Hover over a player name to see their level, name, & rank. Clicking on the user’s name will also let you message the player quickly. And many more! The new server would not have been possible without these guys! Special thanks, To JustMatt & Leeeroieee for coding the Skyblock plugin and the many bug fixes that are going to come up after release.
