Believe it or not, I've been on skyblock since 2014. Well, I was actually shy, so many of you don't remember me. I'm not an english speaker, so it was a little bit difficult for me to do that (I've been improving a lot) until 2016, when I got my first donor (25$ package). Though I remember the good old days in 2014.. Server was full, I actually remember refreshing the server list and waiting for someone to log off so I could join! I remember for getting banned in 2015, as player had trusted me on their island and I just saw his banners and took them . I've never been rich, although some people are pretty sure I am. I never made friends, not until 2017 at least. What I remember the most are mods, very helpful to me! I miss a lot the old skyblock. So I really hope new server will be as good as 2014-2016 NET. I think the new server will be the most popular for the 1st month, as it usually is on any server with a reset, lots more people than usual will be on, but after everyone gets their projects done, its gonna start to slow down, it'll be a while before it hits how the current server is now but for the first 6-12 months, the server will probably be larger than it has been in a while.
I haven't had the most wonderful experience with skyblock; I have had to make quite a few ban appeals if you put it that way, although, I still like this weird, random, but friendly community. I know it sounds cringy and shet but I will always have good memories of this server and nostalgic feelings about the years I spent on here.
I just empty my mind and hope for the best in the new server. I dont want to get worried players leaving and joining.
Here are a list of things I hope are done away with: 1. Rankism. It's senseless yet surprisingly common 2. High level donor-dominated economy. While the 'trickledown economics' theory applies to this server much better than it does to real life, it's still annoying for greenies and lower level donors to have their opportunities limited by a small elitist group. 3. Scamming. Definitely not gonna happen but I'd be over the moon if it did. Good luck and have fun guys! Happy Skyblocking
I totally agree with you. But, I think economy will be mostly dominated by high level donors, as Skyblocking is much easier for them with kits. As a non-donor, it was extremely hard to get 1 diamond, and now, as a donor100, I get 1 diamond daily.
