Heya, I find myself and other people constantly asking what the prices are for certain items, and the prices seem to change from time to time(untextured blocks before and after duping for example) To prevent people from being lowballed or scammed, do you think it'd be helpful to have an easily accessible Google spreadsheet to show all the prices? It could be updated frequently to reflect any large price swings. Crediting Waterswimmer111 for coming up with the idea.
Hey Pessimism! The community basically decides the worth of items so if you want this idea to become a reality I suggest you either work on it yourself, get a friend or find someone who is also interested in doing so. There used to be some great threads showing prices of items such as Trading Prices 3.0 which I used when I first started playing Skyblock again, However all these threads seem to be outdated and they don't seem to show basic items such as how much a DC of cobblestone is worth and such, So if you are interested in making it I highly suggest it, It really would help out the community, I may make one myself when the new server comes out!
Thanks for replying! I'm planning to make one when the new server comes out. I've really no idea what the prices will be on the new server, and I have no reason to believe anyone else can determine them either. I am aware that the community decides prices. However, I also see cases where newer players are trying to sell things and more experienced players trick them into selling for less than it's worth, so that they can earn more. Obviously, I'd need help with making this chart, and ideally moderators and donors could help with updating, since (for the most part)they can be relied on for accurate prices.
My guess is that they will be low considering everyone will have limited diamonds/grass at the new server. I don’t think it is necessary. Someone will create a rare thread when we determine each price of a rare. c:
Was thinking the same but indeed I think no since no one will have that much diamonds to purchase 1 rare. Yea rares will be limited but so will diamonds and grass. It wouldn’t make sense, imo. For example back in the days one beacon was 80 diamonds due to its uniqueness and due to players having not a lot of diamonds. Edit: Also it wouldn’t make sense for a player to purchase rare for a high amount of diamonds, because the price of the rare will change a lot.
So yeah Pessimin, when u want to start working on it with me? (Remember I'm Waterswimmer111) Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
And I would make one, but I don't know the prices that well, but like Evux, I might make one when the server comes out
Actually, by that logic, you could say that the IRL economy is even more like the Skyblock economy. As has been the issue for decades, or even the past century, centimillionaires and billionaires have been hoarding their wealth instead of spending it. This is one key flaw behind the theory of 'trickle down economics'. Instead of spending their money, the ultra-rich are hoarding it and using it to make even more money. This makes many things rather inaccessible to the people who don't belong to the 'rich' group. If your claim is correct, and I suspect that it is, that'd mean that, very much like IRL economies, the prices are manipulated almost solely by the already rich.
If a few rares traders could help me with this, I actually have half of a new trading prices thread already made.
the owner of that chart will become a god of the new economy. players won't determine the prices anymore, one person will. very good business plan, just make sure no one figures all this out, PessimismDaily.
