I dislike threads like these because it puts down confidence of others if they do not have as much votes as another applicant. Someone might have 50 votes while another applicant might have only 5 while they are both good applicants, the one with 5 will lose confidence. It also puts down some applicants seeing many comments not having their names in it, overall the person with the last votes could still be a great applicant.

 

These threads are nothing but ego boosters for the more outspoken and a massive emotional teardown to those that are quiet. Why turn it into a popularity contest? Most mods become egotistical after a few months, regardless. Twelve-year-olds with an iota of power make for egotists.
