If most of you guys haven't heard yet, there is a CAT 5 Hurricane (Irma) headed straight towards Miami. First of all, I am praying for them down there because it feels like you're in a giant hurricane(Duh, and tbh I've never been in one, and plan NOT to.) I just want to say Please Pray for Florida. It just sucks to see so many deaths happen in this destruction.

    No.

They had warnings and should take those precautions seriously. If not, then that's their loss.

Irma already destroyed the Caribbean islands, I wouldn't be surprised if it happened to Florida too. Not much else we can do other than to hope the damage isn't too bad and people and animals got out.

Not to be disrespectful because I will keep the victims in my thoughts.

I see these #prayfor trends so frustrating. Why? Because it is only when something big happens does anyone mention prayer. How many people would #prayforthehomeless or #prayforthevictimsofterrorismin(insert country here).
We don't. But people get killed every day; children and families living in poverty, people who cannot find a good meal, war and oppression...

So as I said before with the Manchester event... how about we pray for florida and for all people experiencing tragedy, hardship and horrible circumstances right now. Don't just spread these trends, but take the time to think about what else is happening in the world.

And instead of being talking about how its the victims fault or that pray does nothing... its not for you to say. Spread a positive message instead.

I feel bad for anyone who has to be in a hurricane but instead of saying 'let's pray' or stuff like that you could actually donate to organizations that will help the victims of hurricanes like Harvey or Irma. IMO that would be more helpful

    You didn't burst my bubble.

Second of all, I might have been wrong in choosing the "Pray for Florida" type of words.

Yes, I agree on that it's not the victim's fault. Honestly in my opinion no matter what happens, or in any circumstance would it be the victim's fault. But what you should be is always prepared. My family is also preparing (Spoiler, I do live in Florida.), and we would be ready to evacuate any time. (No, I don't live in the southern part. I don't want to completely disclose where I live.)

Finally, I think I have portrayed my overall message in the wrong manner. My overall message was to make sure and to stay safe to all of the Southern Floridians. I cannot say how scary it is to be in a hurricane because I have never been in one.

And actually, if you have watched the weather channel, It has surprisingly got larger.
