The question is asked above. Following people gives me no benefits and people following me just makes me look good, but no one does because following has no benefits, so technically no one looks good.
In staff online now and members online now,in members online now, under it it says members you follow,if you see some members there,it shows the members you follow are online
Excellent point. I'd say it would make more sense for them to give you alerts when they started new threads, but okay.
There a few benefits of following people or having followers: 1. Bragging right/personal achievement: This question is the same as asking "whats the point of instagram followers?" Most people would say that they want people to see their content. But mostly its to say "Well I have 1000 followers!". It is a personal achievement and something more challenging than posting and getting ratings. Some people follow for a follow so a benefit to following people is the possibility of gaining a follower 2. Show who your homies are: If you follow your friends or people you are chill with then it just acts as a way to show this off and have some pride in your gang. 3. Profile blocking: sometimes you just want to close up your profile. You can change settings to "people you follow" which gives you some control of who can view your profile. Then you just pick who you follow and the troublesome people you can keep away... at least from your own profile. Followers to me are my personal achievement and a way to follow my friends (who I expect a follow back from I follow for a follow to a certain extent because I would feel bad if I didn't follow active users who follow me. The point may not be extremely important but it isn't useless by any means.
