The server does need improvements to keep relevant.

Lag and connection: Lag is horrendous. People, like me, experience consistent login struggles. Once waiting 1-2 minutes to actually see the game screen, it will take 5-10 minutes and then we drop connection; even though our connections are fine on other servers. The rest of the people experience kick loops and other issues. This is the main failing point for skyblock. We cannot even hold special events without drama, disabling plugins and consistent hassles. Who wants to wait to log in when there are servers with little to no lag. We need this to be looked at the most, if it hasn't already.

Use Org:
Org is essentially a server of one to five people and the concept isn't popular any longer. However org is a gem of a server with the least amount of lag. This may be a long shot but I feel this is somewhat possible as a solution.

• Firstly players should connect in a separate server like a lobby. This would encourage people to connect as it will not take forever to connect.
• Org should be completely redone without economy. Donor ranks should be converted to Net ones and all purchases org players have made integrated with net.
• Fix all relevant Org issues
• All the important Net plugins should be ported to org except ones that have causes issues, such as god items and trade shops
• The shops and warps should transfer over too
• Add global chat so people can talk between servers
• And develop an easy way for staff to moderate between servers

What this essentially will do is allow players to make islands on both servers. They won't feel so isolated because they can see a global chat with everyone, even if they are the only one on "org".
In keeping all org players belongings and islands but removing the economy aspect players who have been part of org are rewarded while new comers are encouraged to play because they have their ranks.

Even if global chat was a thing without changing org, and then fixing orgs bugs, people will be encouraged to play so it doesn't seem so isolated on org. Even if ranks are not transferred but org is transformed into net 2.0 then people might just trade in the lag for a nicer experience.

Without change, Skyblock cannot progress. A little bit of work could help the servers flourish.

 

This is a thread to improve the server, not really on the same level as the "skyblock is dying".
Other threads similar to this are less frequent and buried so people make new ones. Not sure why your comment is at all relevant to the topic.
