This is a question I am frequently asked in game: how can I make money? In other words, grass and diamonds (the currency of Skyblock.net). I thought making an in depth guide may be helpful for some players. I have split the guide into categories. I hope you all enjoy!

Voting
Voting is an amazing way to make money on Skyblock.net. In order to vote, you must go to these two websites.

You can only vote once on each site every day. After voting, you will receive one grass block and one voter crate key for each site. In total you can earn 2 voter crate keys and 2 grass blocks every single day, just by voting. Furthermore, if you're lucky, you can earn lucky voter rewards, ranging from redstone blocks, spawners and even creeper heads! You can choose to use your voter crate keys every day, or you can use a good diamond making tactic of mine. You can save all of your keys up each month and sell them in stacks for a good amount of diamonds. I usually sell stacks of voter crate keys for 4-7 diamonds. Furthermore. at the end of each month cypriotmerkz releases a Top Voter's List. This means the 5 people that voted the most in that month
receive a $25 coupon code to use at shop.skyblock.net. You can buy pets, ranks, kits and more with this coupon.

Trade Shops
Trade shops are the most common way to make money here on Skyblock.net. In trade shops you can sell so many items. In my opinion, here is a list of the most commonly bought trade shops items, their sell price and how to obtain them.

Wood​

Wood is always in high demand. It is usually sold at 32-64 wood logs for 1 grass block. There is two easy ways to obtain wood. The first is the classic way. Grab some saplings, an axe and some bonemeal. If you need bonemeal, type /visit Mingo_x and head to the free, public skeleton grinders. The other way is by using a simple automated tree farm. Please note this requires lots of bonemeal and saplings and only works for oak wood trees. To obtain more saplings, type /kit sapling to receive 2. You can use this every 45 minutes. I have included an example of a simple farm. Each dispenser needs to be filled with bonemeal.

Prismarine​

Prismarine is always in high demand as it's difficult to obtain. There are 3 types on prismarine you can sell. Prismarine, dark prismarine and prismarine bricks. You can also sell sea lanterns. Here's how to craft them all:

Sea lanterns sell 4-8 for one grass block.
Prismarine sells 64 for one grass block.
Dark prismarine sell 32-64 for one grass block.
Prismarine bricks sell 32-64 for one grass block.
To grind prismarine, there are free spawners are /visit BunningJohn and /visit Mingo_x

Redstone​

Redstone is always in constant demand. You can get redstone from voter crate keys and donor kits. It usually sells for 48-64 for one grass block.

Trade Shop Tutorial​

Making a trade shops is really easy. All you need is one chest and one sign. Place the chest and place the sign on top of it. Here's how to set out your tradeshop on the sign.

Building and Island Selling
If you are a good builder, this may be the perfect thing for you. You can build houses, shops and so much more for people in order to make grass and diamonds. The easiest way to do this is advertise, on forums or in game chat, that you are building for people. It is also best to specify what style you can build, medieval, modern etc. Then, the player needs to simply /trust <your username> and you can build for them. Another good way to make money is selling islands. All you need to do is build an island. Whether it's a decorative island or a trade shop, someone may be interested in buying for grass or diamonds. It is worth noting you will need an alternate account to store your items on their island. Or, you can ask a friend if you can store your items at their island. Before selling your island, always check with a moderator that it is legal to sell. Rules apply when selling islands, such as if the island has over a certain number of dirt it is illegal to sell. Once you have confirmed with a moderator your island is legal, find a buyer. When they have paid you, drop of the grass/diamonds at you ALT's or friend's island to prevent them being lost. Then, you simply need to /coop invite <buyer's name>. When they join the coop, you type /coop leave and you will be teleported to spawn.

Rares Selling
Once you have made money, you may want to become a rares trader. But please beware: in order to begin trading rares, you need to have a good amount of diamonds and you need to be aware of the item's price range. Trading rares can be a risky business, and you may not always make profits. In fact, sometimes you may even make losses! Here's how rares trading works. You buy a rare (such as a head, beacon etc.) for cheap. Then, your goal is to resell it for more diamonds than you paid. As stated previously, this can be risky and may not always work. Please ensure you check the selling prices of items before you buy to avoid disappoint and diamond losses. Also, please always use a recording software when trading rares as if you are scammed, you lose a lot! You could also ask a moderator to watch the sale for you.
