Your in-game name: Stray_Gamer What timezone are you in? PST (UTC -8) What country do you live in? The United States of America What languages do you speak? English Do you have 2FA enabled? Yes/No Yes Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence? (i.e. recording software, screenshots, etc) I have a hot key for taking MC snapshots programmed to my liking, I also have ScreenCast-O-Matic, which I can use for recording. Why do you think you should become a mod? First of all, I would like to say that I love this server, I’ve played on it for about 2 years now. It has became my #1 server . Mature: Over the course of my life, I have matured quite a bit. Recently, I learned to have a bit more apathy and be tough. I believe that it is important to have a mature moderator, and I indeed fit this slot. Don’t get me wrong, I like to have fun sometimes, but I am mature and am willing to conduct my job properly. Welcoming: Lately, I have came off as welcoming. People aren’t afraid to be upfront with me; They know that they can be. I am open to hearing opinions, and have learned to take criticism. Feel free to judge me on this application as well. Honesty: What is the use in a moderator who can’t be honest. I am not afraid to be open and honest with people. If I have a formed opinion about someone, I let them know. If I’m asked if I did something, I will answer truthfully. Agreeableness: the degree to which a person is able to get along with others by being good-natured, likable, cooperative, forgiving, understanding, and trusting. I have a considerably good level of agreeableness. But, that doesn’t keep me from being myself and being assertive. I listen in to the opinion of others, and consider their views. Once I’ve decided, I will conduct myself according to what I feel is right. Introverted: Studies have recently shown that introverted personalities are great for positions of authority. I tend to look at myself, and consider how I can improve myself as a means to improve the server. If something goes wrong, I look at myself first. I ask myself “What could I have done differently?” and “Why did things go wrong?” Speed/Timing: The speed in which problems are solved are highly important. First of all, I am a fast typer. Someone had asked me what would be so different just reporting as a non-mod, well the answer to that is time. I have been on when other mods haven’t been and, if I am on as a mod, I will be able to resolve the problem quicker. I will not always have the need to wait for someone to see my report in forums. The quicker problems are resolved, the better. Commitment: Something needs done? I do it. I don’t just quit on it. If I give up, then I would be failing my job. Simply put, if I start something, I finish it. Morality: I believe that I should be a light to others. If someone is in need, I see it as my responsibility to help that person in any way I can. I was asked why I want to be mod. IS it for popularity? IS it for power? Why do I want to be mod? The answer is, to be a help to others. It’s all out of morality. With me as mod, you would have another mod to help your server, and another mod to help others in need. Type A Personality: Type A Behaviors exhibit the following: extreme competitiveness, impatience, aggressiveness, and devotion to work. However, I have overcome my impatience and aggressiveness. · Competitiveness: I like to do my best, and I aim to do the best. I would consider my fellow moderators as fellow coworkers, and the mods above me as my superiors. However my competitiveness does not mean I look down on others. I would also consider them to be my competitors, and we are seeing who can be the best. If I lose, I accept a loss, and I learn from it. If I win, I don’t brag or show off, I simply take my success and see how I can do better at it, and compete against that to do even better. · Patience: As I said, I have overcome my issue with impatience, and have learned different techniques to calm down and have patience. I am willing to wait if needed. · Calm and collected: I have also overcome my aggressiveness too. I have learned that if one is calm and collected, they can think better and make greater achievements. If something upsets me, I step back and observe the situation. I do what is necessary to keep calm, and consider what I can do to avoid conflict. · Devotion to work: This is actually very similar to competitiveness, and to diligence as mentioned above. I am very devoted to what I do. I make sure to be detailed in what I do, and get things accomplished in the best way possible. How long can you be active on the server everyday? I can be active on the server for up to 4 hours straight at a time, but as far as the total amount, that depends on the day and if I have life situations going on. Here is the best schedule I could make up: (this is in pacific time zone) Sunday: 8pm-12am Monday: 5pm-10pm Tuesday: 8am-3pm Wednesday: No set hours, It may vary. Thursday: 8am-3pm Friday: 8pm-12pm Saturday: 8pm-12am (And there is a high chance of me being on much longer than that) Note: the hours I am available will vary, but I mentioned above my typical hours at the assumption that nothing else will conflict. How long have you been playing Skyblock? I have been playing on Skyblock for 2 years. Have you ever been banned in the past? (Forums & In-game) I was banned in-game for nick abusing, I had changed my nick to DanTDM Do you have any past experience as a moderator? At the moment, I have had 1 week experience as a discord server owner. Do you meet the requirements for staff? Yes/No Yes
feel free to explain to me why you don't support. I need to know these things so that I know what to improve on. Thank you.
Yesterday Nyxa started the convo with me. Thank you for the input though. you haven't? hm. Well, I'll hit you up.
I'll go ahead and say partial support (75%) . You are very active on forums, but I would like to see you helping out a little bit more in-game. Just try to be a tad more active and helpful in-game, and maybe try adding some colour to the application? Good luck
thanks. I also think that working on some apathy regarding some people's opinion has also helped. thank you for the input.
Full support. You're nice, friendly, and active on the server/forums. The application is well written as well. Good luck!
