Some of you may have recently seen the masses of threads on forums, raging at staff members: it's clearly a huge discussion here right now. I want to quickly address a few things:

1.) Mods are here for a reason
Many mods have been subject to criticisms for banning players. I think we all need to remember why mods are actually here: to keep the server safe and a nice place to be. Why shouldn't those breaking the rules be banned? The rules are clearly written and mods are hired to follow those rules and punish those not abiding by them. Why are so many people angry at this?

2.) Mods have a right to ban disrespectful players
Think about this: lots of you go to school and I'd say at least 70% of you would say you hate school. But would you walk into the school, saying how bad it is, how the teachers are disgusting, how they all do their jobs awfully and don't deserve to be there? Pretty sure you wouldn't, and even if you would, guranteed you would not be at that school much longer. So, why is it acceptable to get away with doing that to mods? The truth: it's not.

    3.) Stop the complaining
This may sound highly cliche, but if you 'hate' mods and 'wish they weren't here' then there's a simple solution: just leave. Mods are here to keep the server in check and shouldn't be criticised and insulted for doing their job. I think it's actually quite disgusting how people talk about and treat mods sometimes, in my opinion. If you're against mods, go find another server. Chances are, almost every single one you find is also moderated.

Finally, it won't surprise me if this thread recieves mass amounts of hate, dislikes etc, but I don't really care. I hate to see the community go against the people who ensure skyblock.net remains a nice place to be.

We all have, and in my (personal) opinion, half of them are complete over-reactions.
This is ridiculously true. I mean, in life, there will always be people you disagree with. In some cases, it may be a Skyblock.net moderator. Have some people never been told to just deal with these people, agree to disagree, and move on? Apparently, the people making threads to offend mods have not.

Nice to know you agree with me. I agree, people need to learn to just move on.

Now, don't get me wrong, I like your thread (except!). It's nicely worded and it brings the point across. However, I very much dislike this statement:

"Many mods have been subject to criticisms for banning players. I think we all need to remember why mods are actually here: to keep the server safe and a nice place to be"

Mods should be fully open to criticism. There have been many, many bans in which other mods or the mods themselves agreed that they punished wrongly/harshly. Indeed they are here for that reason, but putting criticism as a negative thing is what I do not agree with at all.
Example: Mods open 'feedback threads' and ask for criticism.

Really??? their purpose might've been that but some of them are doing a s*** job of that

Good point. I agree that statement may have sent slightly the wrong message, thanks for your feedback. I agree mods should be open to constructive criticism, but some of the recent post have been harsh and a big over reaction.

    I appreciate your comments. :)

They do, but don't be too honest in them because your comment will be removed and you will get warned.

That is your opinion, and if you are that concerned about that, you are able to report them (if you have genuine evidence.)

And secondly, some mods may not be the best in your opinion, but people have been raging at mods collectively, not just specific. But I value and respect your opinion.

In your opinion. If you had valid proof/evidence, it can make a difference. Clearly you just have a grudge against certain mods. That's ok and up to you, but please don't discuss that on this thread.

There is a difference between good moderation and bad moderation, but I agree that players should be respectful to the mods. If a player witnesses what they believe is a form of "bad moderation" that does not comply with Skyblock.net rules or etiquette, only then should they report or complain (complain in a civilized, factual manner). However, being banned for spamming chat or being disrespectful is, definitely, proper moderation, and if a player is breaking rules, they are perfectly eligible to be punished.

Because if you target one you can be punished for calling a person out lul.
Many mods know what parts of threads are directed at them

it's like everyone forgot how I mentioned in my last thread that I started in discussions that I said we need to stop these. I don't think that making more "enough" posts really changes things. These posts are just annoying now.

Pretty sure this thread came first.
Drop it? You are the person that chose to reply on a thread that has already seen this type of comment once or twice. Therefore, you are the one now boosting this thread to the top of forums so more people talk about it, and don't 'drop it'. In my opinion, that is just a bit contradictory.

I am not trying to be rude, I am just stating my opinion.

This thread was at the top of the forums when I posted that... Also I am saying to drop it because creating these thread pretty much does nothing.
