I've got Teal simply because it's my favourite colour.

But -

Don't get the following.

- Green because they look like bogeys on your teeth.
Yellow - it looks like decay and people will make fun.
Red - people will say you have blood on your teeth.

I would go for a blue

 

Get a neutral color like gray, I would avoid anything colorful.
If you need to get a color (mistake) try to stay away from cool tones as they can make your teeth look yellow in contrast.

EDIT: By personal experience, you want to draw attention away from them as much as possible, and colors do the opposite. Which is why I'm suggesting being low-key.

but if you want my honest opinion get something that won't stand out

 

Gray would be your best option. Other colors just don't work for braces.
