Hey everyone, you'll notice I'm no longer a member of the wonderful staff team. This was voluntary and if you know me well enough, you've known for a while I've been planning a departure from the staff team. There's people who haven't agreed with the way I do things, and people who did. There's been those of you who love me, and those who loathe me. I came to this server in 2012 (5 Years ago!) Some of you are that old, but not many of you, that's for sure! You've all met me at some point during your time on the server. I've made lots of friends, and lots of enemies and turned lots of those enemies into friends. I can remember back in the beginning when having a spawner meant you were really really lucky, because getting one meant you had spent money on the server. Things really took off here in 2013, which were the glory days. There was a great staff team, and I actually got to be part of it. Back in the days before island protection, way back in minecraft 1.3. When you could talk to anyone on the server without worrying about being judged by your rank. A lot of you may not believe me, but there was a time when you had to be very trustworthy to bring anyone at all to your island. 2013 went on and I moved in with Cypriot on his island. 2013 turned to 2014 and I had left his island to make my own place. I gathered items that I thought were cool, and climbed my way to riches. 2014 became 2015, and skyblock had begun to lost its appeal to people. It was easy to notice, the server didn't have the playerbase it used to. This is nobodies fault, not crew's, not cyp's. I know some of you have your doubts in the owners and staff, but behind the scenes there's a lot going on to keep the server up. And I really do mean a lot. There's been many incidents that I've helped solved that likely saved the server from having the reset or rollback. 2015 became 2016 and I became aware that I was losing interest in everything I cared for on the server, all my items that I cherished so much, I suddenly realized they were nothing, really but memories. Building became pointless because I had built so much in 4 years I had no ideas left. 2016 became 2017 and I got accepted to college. I realized that I had grown past skyblock. That doesn't mean I'll ever forget it though, it's been a very large part of my life. It's shaped me into the caring compassionate person that stands up for what I believe in, and protects those who need it. It gave a voice to the guy who was too scared to speak up. I've changed for the better because of what the skyblock community has done for me. Skyblock was never just a game. It's something bigger, a community of people that together can turn a few blocks of dirt, a tree and some lava and water into a sprawling community of amazing people that's so diverse you can barely believe it. You will be missed by many, but you've grown up now, and around this time is the time where people have to move on to greater things other than Sandblock Games. Aw I hate to see you go, we had a lot of great memories and some bad ones too. Hope to still see you around as I feel like your still one of my good friends on sb whether or not you still feel that way... First, club penguin is shutting down, and now roblox has left the staff team, 2017 isn't looking like a good year. But seriously, on behalf of everyone who has ever played skyblock, we thank you for your hard work and dedication towards us and the server. Thanks Roblox for everything you've done. It was great having you as a mod. I ended up joining int 2015 when the server was losing interest. But it was new to me. I guess its losing interest BC all the skyblock clones out there. But after joining skyblock here, I can't join any other skyblock style server and accept it as the same. I love the classic vanilla style of it. I really love the community we have, and the good mods that we have. I have only been on 2 years, bit in my view, the server has improved. There are need bugs of course. I feel like updating it to having new items would greatly improve its appeal in my op. Anyways, getting a little off topic. I always admired you as a mod roblox. It was good having you as staff. I will miss you as a mod. But its been a privilege having you.
