No support, there are plenty of great clients such as Labymod that I wish to keep using.
(Yes, I know there's a 1.9 version, but there's nothing above 1.9. If we were to upgrade to something above that with even the smallest changes to the code, I'd be screwed.)

Half the new things added to 1.9 are useless to sky block tbh, and it may cause lag or whatever considering the existing lag issues the server has.

 

Probably wouldn't cause a ton of lag. Most lag is poor optimization and excess amounts of RAM allocated. Thanks for your opinion though.

 

I think it'd be more beneficial if Cyo fixed the anti-cheat etc before updating to 1.9. You're welcome.

 

Hit cooldown is so PvP requires skill and not just you to be able to jitterclick... Plus this isn't a PvP server.

 

1. It doesn't suck. This isn't one of the 5000 crappy factions servers where kids whine about 1.9 PvP.
2. It took forever because effort was put in it.

 

Support. 1.9 sounds fun but I think Cyp should put fixing the lag/anticheat as a higher priority over this.

 

It's rediculously easy to remove the anticheat. And most of the lag is excess RAM.

 

support lol. you guys are getting upset about the hit cooldown but this isn't even a player versus player based server, nor is it player versus environment. most god items are a one hit thing so there's not going to be much harm in mob farms.

1.9 has additions like purpur which could possibly be sold at /warp donor and people could build ender themed islands with it. not to mention ender dragon heads could be a possible donor400 item. not to mention more /trails! there are four more added particles in 1.9.

so yeah !!

Exactly, guys. Upgrading to 1.9 wouldn't be the worst thing ever. There are plenty of 1.9 servers that have implemented 1.8 PvP using plugins. Easily downloadable plugins.
It's just that, for me:

• Not being able to block feels weird.
• Off-hand slot ruins everything.

Both of these things could be fixed with the 1.8 PvP plugins I mentioned above.

 

How about we stay at 1.8 and get a plugin for the new updates. Basically what the archon did

No support. Including myself, lots of people are not fans of the recent Minecraft updates. I think updating the server could potentially have a player declining outcome.

 

Correct, RAM makes it faster, but what he means is that the server needs more RAM. Or you could be mixing up the words "Excess" and "Extra"..
