I just don't get it. Is it popularity? Is it power? What makes you want to be mod? I don't feel like it's answered in any mod app and all that's stated are qualifications. And don't give me the I like to help out crap cause you could just do that without mod?
Whoever takes applying serious, wants to help out players, but others who apply for mod that aren't serious want the commands, power, etc.
Taking supreme power and upping in the ranks to eventually earn the owner's trust and gain admin. I personally would tell all the salty mods to f off when I'm mod and possibly make a communist server where all the islands are owned by the mods :3
I personally applied because I didn't want to feel as limited (as a normal non-staff member) when helping out people and the server. I also wanted to contribute to the community by moderating. Personally I've been enjoying it a lot so far. : ))
But what I'm asking is what's the point of having mod to help out? The moment I've seen many mods get mod, their mini modding stops and they just sit there. You don't see mods spamming saying 'Message me if you need help'. What differs if they are serious or not? A good app vs a bad app? Not a good way to judge it. Easy to hide people's true intentions with just words. Easy example voyageur. She took it seriously, but just wanted commands. Honestly really good reason to apply.
Hehehehehe And as you were an ex mod, I feel that since you reapplied, it's not over getting the power back, but to actually help out, though everyone else claims they'd do so anyways. You were a good choice and id like to see more people like you that don't get mod over mini modding forever and ever though I'm not entirely against mini modding to start.
I'm dumb forget what I said I must have thought you were someone else lmao I was just trying to say keep up the good work :$ Forget my stupidity !
What is this supposed to prove? That every mod just lied in their app? You have to be a pretty ballsy person to come as staff and deal with the crap we get on a daily basis. To be staff you have to really care about the server you are on because there is no way I would choose this role if I had no care for Cyp, Crew and the server. At least when I first joined the team the player base was amazing. I wanted staff to actually help more than just the answer questions, god and refer people to staff. People diss mini mods so hard so why not become a real mod and shut them up. There is a satisfaction in ranking up higher and succeeding in a team. There is a good feeling in being trusted among a large community. So excuse any staff for saying we did it to help because that is what most staff primarily applied for. There are other reasons that are more selfish but who cares as long as the staff does their job.
Are you not one of the ones always involved in trying to get mod on alts? You could ask yourself the same questions.
I was expecting a long reply like this as always but what's the point of replying when I never get a reply back to my argument as always it seems when you reply to threads but never reply again. I'm not expecting a reply but here it goes. But yes every applicant had lied in their application. The amount of activity they say they'll be on is always wrong, and the same old qualifications bull crap that every single mod has that is always the same always is self promotional s***. Oh yeah I'm forgiving and active and helpful and caring and understanding and easily approachable and always the same and same stuff . The only things that are ever different is the name and time zone I find. No creative and different applications anymore. Pretty balsey person to moderate a minecraft server? Dang never could have heard of a hard job. Right the constant online 'harassment' of players questioning why it's always the same and why the server is corrupt. But all the mods need to do and do do is /ban... Honestly I can think of way more difficult jobs than a moderator. Perhaps describe more of what this crap is? I honestly don't get it. Your next point I do find is a valid point. You have to care about the server and its people. But I find it's very hard to care with the corruption going on and inactive owners here that refuse to solve the problem at stake. Besides the godding part that I rarely see mods do anymore anyways but what other jobs are you actually doing other than helping and banning players. Supervising, which can be done without the mod rank. What's the difference between a mini mod and a mod? The rank. According to you mods get conastant daily crap anyways so what changes? Your next part is exactly what I was saying. Popularity, which I can see why someone would want it. People feel good when others look up to them as heroes. There is that satisfaction I agree. But that doesn't really benefit the server, only you. The last part I feel just proves my point more. Staff only apply to help, which they can do anyways without the special rank. With your point I still don't see anything special other than a quickly way to ban or help people, but that's it? That's the only thing helping the community with a mod? Could a get a reply with more reasons why getting mod is such a great goal to many?
Always trying? It was one attempt for one sole reason as stated in my appeal. How easy it really is for mod to get into the wrong hands. That's why I did it anyway. I would have immediately came out and said it was us the moment we got mod just to show how easy it really is. Think of how much info I could have gotten if I was the wrong person? The admins need to be a lot more careful with what they're doing unless they want to see wrong happen on the server like it happened for a long time with a very controlling figure always getting what he wants and mods having fear or him but scared to express their opinions out of fear of being unbanned over bs. He, or worse could still be or always has been lurking here. You did apply for mod and will immediately as soon as you meet the requirements. I know people like you, and usually their big dream of mod dies out in a month, but we'll see. What kind of various tasks are there to complete? Do you know what it takes to be mod? Why can't you help people now without the special tag? First time Ive seen someone admit this so well done, you're actually honest about it.
