I'm neutral on this. What often happens when money is distributed is inflation because of too many bills being distributed to keep up with the demand. Having a different form of currency would definitely help, but how do you plan to ensure the currency doesn't fall below it's face value? Will there be a currency converter? Any type of regulation?

This would directly take money from your /bal and make a banknote that you can right click to return the money to you. The exchange rate from banknotes to /bal is always 1:1. You can make 30 $1 banknotes but they have the exact same value as $30 in your /bal or 1 $30 banknote. The only inflation that will be experienced will be the normal inflation that all economy (economies? economys?) experience.

Bump, this is important to me.

 

I haven't played org yet but the premise sounds the same as net only money rather than grass. I think it would be beneficial for an all money server to have a form of physical currency so support.

Support. Would encourage players to make buy and sell shops. Right now people don't like to make sell shops for that reason you stated, they might be bankrupt of cash when they get back online.

To be honest, I just think this is kind of unnecessary. The thing about your balance, is that it is the one thing on the server that is 100% safe. Can't be stolen, can't be greifed, can't the misplaced... This just creates a way for people to lose their balance as well. This sort of undermines the simplicity of the current balance system
