Why am I involved anyway. I literally only said player stealing isn't allowed and that to keep rival servers not affiliated with here. Rival being actually set up and established servers which provide the exact or similar game experience. Cyp made the decision that what was being done was player stealing. Furthermore there is more to just owning a server that gets you banned. I have a skyblock server too. Many players have in the past. This case is something that you can have an opinion on if you please however it is Cyp that arranged the bans, it is to his knowledge of why. Now even I have been in trouble for player stealing. At the time I didn't think it was a big deal; have a server, only invite staff and let them bring a few friends etc. I didn't even think it was a rival server but it was taken as that. It is an unwritten rule which is enforced by the owners and not mods, and by staff on behalf of owners with permission. Because it becomes something more than just basic advertising.
Bad! Ban! Not allowed! In Cyp's ban on pc it said he copied the server, where the only real parallel is the currency and the name "skyblock". Shouldn't you be banned if that's how it works?
It's pretty self explanatory that as long as you aren't flamboyant about your server than there won't be an issue.
It didn't seem like that from what I saw. They were making teamspeak rooms with the server IP and everything. Really, he was just banned because Cyp got involved and heard about it. If it's to the point where Cypriot knows about your server... Seems pretty flamboyant to me. I can't say much about that, though. I don't know much about what happened there.
All the owners did was post links about their server on their Skype. Certain players from their server decided to come over and advertise here, which is how I assume Cyp found the server

The ban message isn't the full extent of what the ban is actually about and should not be taken too literally.
A ban message should be taken completely serious all the time, as that's the first step of communication between staff member and player who has been banned. Am I not supposed to take "player killing" too literally?
Cyp has a habit of sending a message through the ban message. Example telling advertisers to f off. A ban message is part of saying what was done wrong however as we all know there is more to just that. If it is a ban message that seems to be personal, it is best not to take it completely literally. Or you end up with stupid rumours like someone being banned for having a skyblock server when it isn't true at all.
Then maybe Cyp should consider not letting his emotions get the best of him when banning someone so he doesn't let rumors that make him look bad start on his server, huh?
His server, his rules. If he wants to ban someone for that he can. The only person who can stop him is Crew and Crew would probably do the same.
Thank you. If he wants to ban me, he can. I may not agree with it, which is why I appealed, but it got denied. There's nothing that can be done. Joking about the situation doesn't help it.
