I can see how Minecraft is trying to improve Pvp but come on, Pvp is not even a big part of Minecraft. It's trying to improve off of the 1.9 Pvp update, but again, we never really needed 1.9 in the first place. Rocket-propelled elytra flight is actually pretty cool. It's a nice addition to the elytra. If you don't know, it basically gives the player the ability to propel themselves off of the ground via fireworks. And last but not least, iron nuggets... not even gonna talk about these... completely unnecessary Overall, the update was not wanted, nor needed by most players, and I can see most of us not using this update anytime soon. Updates have gone down hill ever since 1.9 and this is a good example of it. Of course, this is my silly opinion, so comment your opinions down below!
I don't have any strong opinions but uh, why did you have to make a thread about this? You're basically post-farming or looking for ratings. So uh, the only good thing is rocket-propelled elytra..?
I personally think that the iron nuggets are pretty dumb... BUT the rocket Elytras seem really awesome!
Every update past 1.8 is trash. I don't think I will be using a modern version of minecraft until they add a way to get rid of the pvp timer.
Honestly I feel like this was a downgrade. Not in creativity or anything but just in a like/hate ratio.

Totally agreed. Bill Gates needs to think more about the future of this game that millions of us enjoy and less about the money and revenue that can come from it.
This triggered me ;-; anyways, I havent looked into it much yet, but it sounds like the elytra will be a cool addition, Im also intrigued by the enchantment. It was an unnecessary update but hey, at least we're getting updates. Microsoft has spent alot of time on the updates, they might not be the best but if they take feedback it could be promising with the amount of time/staff they have working on the game. Just my opinion tho

1.9 (and above ofc) adds another layer of strategy to pvp, it isnt who can click the fastest, it's about aim and timing. However I love block hitting the heck out of people on 1.8 (^::
I absolutely hate people like you that say 1.8 pvp requires "no skill". 1.8 and 1.9 pvp are completely different. Some people are better at 1.8 pvp than others, same with 1.9. Someone could be great at pvping in 1.9 but suck in 1.8. Saying that 1.9 pvp requires "skill" is completely false. Sure, you could say that 1.9 pvp is more strategic, but saying it requires more skill is completely inaccurate. And just because something "requires more skill" doesn't necessarily make it better or more enjoyable.
This is true, however 1.8 is just a little easier to do, cause you just gotta spam click. I do like 1.8 more (because block hits hueheuehueh) but 1.9 is alot more advanced. Personally i like to think im good at both, and enjoy them equally, but in my opinion i'd have to say 1.9 is alot harder for most people
