I'm pretty sure he makes people do it like this because he has to give people their item they choose. It would be easier to have people contact him about it rather than have him to go through and search for people and give them their item.
Additionally, don't quote me on this, but I think Cyp selling the rank "secretly" like this is against the EULA. I don't see how hard it would be to make a plugin that lets you pick an item once it notices you've moved into the Donor400 PEX group. Support.
It is a $400 rank. You get every single kit excluding /kit cobble (because who needs cobble), and several commands not given to Skygods. You also receive a creative item of your choice (items otherwise unobtainable in the game) upon purchase.
Most people gradually work their way up to donor400 anyway and get others to buy it for them. My idea to Cyp, that he liked but never implemented was a buycraft store page/category which explains how to obtain donor400. Given the whole Eula hype I believe this is not the ultimate solution any longer. But the main reason is the creative item and manual permissions for not having it in the store. It is easier to have Cyp come online, give the rank+prefix+creative item at once so I don't think it should be included in the shop. Also it is possible to pay Cyp without having a paypal account of your own given he can set it up.
Once the announcement is made like when you first buy a D100 everyone who's on gets to see it. Then when Cyp's on just ask for the creative item
Also the problem I have with PayPal is if you send Cyp money it could get hacked and then your screwed.
^^^ 400$ for me is like 2 weeks of groceries, online shopping, a good Amazon haul why pay 400$ for something that won't last forever
