I'm sure he will continue with Skyblock. There's no need to worry. He has been working on Minetime this whole time.
he was working on a different one before... this isnt much different. also.. we never had one dedicated to skyblock (in recent years). cyp works on all of crews servers, and his own. net org mineverse and a few others i cant remember.
Collin was going to shut down minetime until crew approached him about taking over for him since collin didn't want anyone else that he didn't know running minetime. Crew approached him, and then crew bought it, and cyp maintains it as well.
Just saying, only reason Cyp is still with this server is because all the kids that pay him 400$ for one item on a minecraft server. Pathetic, but it is true. All of you fanboys- (or girls Im not sexist) before trying to convince me that Cyp cares about Skyblock think about that he added the ability to pay yourself unbanned. haha cyp wants the money and I dont want a forum ban so Im gonna stop my rant right there. Cyp doesn't give a honest damn and only now people are realizing it. Good call everyone.
Cyp didn't add pay for unbans, paying that money keeps the server running, and he does give a damn, you just never have spoken to Cyp when hes working on the servers.
Krissy, of course I respect that Cyp can be very busy with everything and I know that I haven't had a full conversation with him yet, but of what I have seen Cyp is a man in his 20's, sitting at home, logging onto the server once or twice a month, while the money is running in. If suddenly he'd stop making profit on this I doubt that he would even log in anymore.
People can only really judge what they see. I mean not everyone knows him personally. However he doesn't just play minecraft. Like most people his age they work, college/study and play multiple video games, go out with mates, and spend time with family. He spends time on the servers because he wants to, not because he makes profit. From what I have been told the server bills are much too high that most of the money goes to paying it. Some of it obviously gets given to devs to code plugins. While some might be paid to Cyp for his work it surely isn't going to be enough to make a living off of. He really does care. He does what us to enjoy the server and he does want players to get a unique experience from Crew servers which is why things sometimes take longer to implement here; while he finds unique ideas.
where all blaming this on cyp, because hes the most active and we expect him to do the most stuff. but lurking in the shadows, :O, out comes a wild crew! doing all the stuff in the background while cyp gets all the hate.
Cyp knows what people say about him. It really is because Cyp is the face of the administration team and yes, he cops a fair deal of the attention for it when Crew makes decisions. And I mean I don't blame administration for the choice to make paid unbans. It seems logical that if you cannot wait out a tempban that you can pay a fee to come back for a second chance. That money goes towards the server. On topic however I don't see it an issue that Cyp spreads his time between servers.
If they -- Cypriot and Crew -- were in it strictly for money, they would have sold all of their networks once the EULA was enforced. Money is a good motivator to work, but Minecraft networks generate far less money than they used to. After server expenses, taxes, paying developers/staff, etc., there is definitely money leftover, but not enough to keep all of their networks open strictly for the purpose of making money.
