Just wanted to mention if you were even considering buying the night vision 'perk', I'd suggest you wouldn't. As many of you probably know, you can just set your gamma really high so you can see. I don't see why there is a point in it unless I am missing something? And for donors especially wanting to buy it, just change your ptime. So can someone explain to me what the point of buying night vision is? .-.
I want to be perfectly honest here. You telling people not to donate and support the server is not a good thing. Just because there are other things out there that do the same thing it is not right to encourage people not to donate. It is a perk that doesn't cost much that enhances gameplay and is a thank-you for supporting us. Server bills are not cheap and every bit counts to extend the life of the server. So actually think about supporting the server and purchase night vision if you have the cash and maybe try not to discourage people from donating to help this server, especially since everyone seems to be concerned the server is dying.
thats more implied... he's more stating the perk isnt necessary than saying not to donate to the server this conversation would look a whole lot different if he was actually stating that xD but anyways, what it really leads to is that 10$ donation could go to a better package like donor 10, or a kit, etc. AND, tbh... he has a point. like, id hate to donate 10$ to it, when i could get donor 10, or something else.. some might find it useful i guess. but kudos to cyp for adding new stuff to the store.
I think you are taking what I am saying the wrong way. I'm not saying don't support the server. I'm more implying that maybe create better ideas of what to donate for like rex_insanity said. Maybe a few new kits or something? I am glad though he is adding new stuff to benefit the server.
But the perk there for people to purchase. I get exactly what you are saying. But I am pointing out specifically that you are telling people not to buy a perk. All perks bought will support the servers bills. You need to pick what you say carefully because Is a lot like saying don't buy this perk that would help the server out. Suggest more or better perks but try not to go around saying people shouldn't donate for that one. It does it's job and is legit night vision. Now people are suggesting the alternatives which will deter people from buying hence you may have just ruined one of the new perks that is available to benefit the server. So if this is how you feel Don't tell people to reconsider buying a perk that is contributing to the server running. There is a suggest forum if you need to suggest better perks.
Some players have bad computers and cannot run hack clients which allow you to have Brightness. Some people have to make their Minecraft setting to the minimum so they get to play. This is exactly what this perk is about. Helping those players that's why it has being added. You mentioned that you can do /ptime which is completely right! Although there are players who have their island covered and it is dark inside. You
I don't see how you can have a computer that bad which limits you to being able to boost your gamma anyway? It just makes your game brighter so it shouldn't lag it? And why doesn't one just buy donor an actual donor rank as they can easily do ptime so
If you have a bad computer then wouldn't you put more priority into upgrading rather than buy cosmetics on a block game?
How about, "If you want to donate to the server, this perk is not worth is because it is WAY easier to increase brightness other ways than to earn the $10. Buy donor10 or upgrade somebody instead."
